Dark GDK .NET / Game displaying in seperate window and not main form

For some reason my Game display is showing up in a separate window instead of displaying in the ctlDarkGDKViewport on the main form. I have the embedded property set at true. If i run the example programs or even just run the default template the cube shows up in the viewport, I am using the base template and just added a call to my draw_map procedure in the loop instead of displaying the cube.

What do I need to change to make it show up in the embedded viewport, I would like to use side panels in the main form to display other things.

I have been contacted by Developer but we have found the cause or a solution
