Okay, I know this is vauge and Im not completly sure this is where this should be, but I exed out all other boards so hmm.

Anyways, I want to create an online game. Ive got an idea of what it could be, but before all that, I need the reasources.

So what im asking for you is, what are the things that will help me make this game. Now, Im not trying to go into a huge thing like Runescape, but I just want to make a small MOG that can grow over time.

Thank you all

dont hate people who rip you off, cheat and get away with it, learn from them

Well for team requests, its a rule of thumb to have a detailed plan of what you want. Scratch detailed, realistic. You need to show what your bringing to the table and how far you'v got ito said plan. Like what features have been implemented and such.

Just a heads up, in indie dev teams, theres no single person who 'manages the team' for people to take you seriously you need to have a large active role in the project and proof of determination/skill.

Theres a few more points but someone else can pick up on them

If you need something easy and quick that's free, you can always check if Eclipse is of any use to you, sure it runs off VB6 and DirectX7, and it's 2D only.. But it's a good start on understanding how you would have to uphold an online game community.

EDIT: Did forget to mention the community over there is TERRIBLE, the people are mostly a bunch of idiots, or stuck up 9 year olds.
