I can't even fully remember what it was about, I haven't seen it since the 80s myself. But its about a boy who lives on a tiny (and I mean real tiny like the size of a single house) planet. I think in the intro he's chasing a shooting star with a net.

I know it't not much to go on but maybe somebody who had a more development memory 25 years ago than me might know.

hmm I remember something like this.It was called The Adventures of The Little Prince I think and it was a cartoon seres based of The Little Prince from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

I might be completely wrong,but this was the first thing that came into my thoughts.

yea that's it! I looked up a clip on youtube, not as cool as I remember. I gotta quit looking up my childhood memories, it's ruining the nostalgic feelings.
