I'm working on a menu system for my web site. So far I have it the drop down menus are hidden if the mouse goes over the background but if the user quickly goes any where off the background or tabs over to another program the menu that was dropped down stays on the page.

I'm wondering if there is a way to detect whether the mouse is in the web page or not on top of the background? (I could write a behavior to test when the mouse is off the background but wouldn't work because there are items on the background.)
