Hey all,

If you're like me, you sign up to several websites/forums and cringe at having to give away your email address. Anyways, some sites just need your email to do a quick verification. But how do you know they won't turn around and sell the email list?

http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/

This is a pretty cool service. It lets you create a 10 minute email address that expires after 10 minutes. You just leave it on the page after creating an email, and it acts as a web interface to your new email address. When you receive email, it will pop up instantly, just like GMail. You can read and reply to email from the web interface. After 10 minutes the email address disappears.

Cool eh?

It is a good service. My wife and I had planned to do a similar idea with our mail server and extra domains we have. Nice, neat, and simple. No user lists to keep track of. Easy for both the provider and the user.

Yes, but they will know that you have more than one account, because they would all share the same IP address. And then you would get banned along with your original account

That's neat but I just make a separate gmail account for all that rubbish. If it is very quick to set up then that's great but if it takes more than a minute I think it would be a waste of time if you have to make a new account every time you want to sign up to something.

And yeah I love that site.
