Developer: MetalDevil123 (me)

Using: FPS Creator x9 Update 1.17

Storyline:
Earth was abandoned 100 years ago, due it being infested with a new bug race, that spread fast and it's bite was fatal. It sent people into a coma, for a few hours, then the bitten human started transforming into something undescribable. The mutation had different effect on different human and it also depended on what sub-specie the bug was.

Humankind has now moved to mars. Still every now and then an exploration team goes to earth to study these bugs. every time they come back they are checked for bite marks and washed, that any bug couldn't get in with them. Nobody would have quessed how these bugs adjusted to the poison used to kill them. When the latest crew came back, they brought one bug with them. The bug couldn't be killed, so it was put on quarantine. The bu however, escaped. No-one knows how, but it did. Now mars is under attack too, and the infection has an even deadlier outcome here, than it did on earth.

I, however, haven't been bitten. I fell into a deep coma just when the bugs started attacking the prisons where I was. They thought I was already bitten and left me alone. I considered mydelf lucky, but anymore? I don't think so. I need to find a gun and get out of this place. I should try and find an evacuation center, if any of them excist anymore.

Description:
A sci-fi horror shooter. Will have gunfights against other survivors, that have gone crazy and try to shoot you. Nothing that special, but Iäm trying to make it as good as I possibly can.

And the name is just a project name. I need to come up with a better name later. If you got any suggestions, then feel free to shout them

This looks pretty good
I especially like the first scene. I would maybe add some more stuff to the wall. old posters? Make an overlay for them

Great minds think alike, as you have this now, just as I am mid-way through developing a Sci-Fi horror!

Keep up the great work.

Hmmm... I'll see what I can do.

But on the meantime I updated the first post with a HUD video.

Looks great!
Good atmosphere, and I agree that a poster would suit perfectly.

Cool idea with the HUD, came up with something similiar long time ago

Well, the idea isn't originally mine. I remember seeing something like it in some thread a long time ago. Might be your idea I copied, don't know.

And updated the first post with a new screen.

EDIT* There's a screen of 3 posters in the first post now. I'll most likely be making more. And I noticed the white seam under the ripped parts. Trying to get rid of it now.

And forgot to say, that hte game will use no crosshair, if it did iron sight would be pointless. So yes, I forgot to get rid of the crosshair on the small machine gun.

Thats the exact same thing I am doing with mine
Great minds think alike, once again

I really like the posters too by the way.
you should make a generic poster pack, and release it, or sell it even? But you would have to be careful on what you made the posters with there.

Keep up the great work.

I put up a new screenshot. It's still heavily WiP as the walls look very bare and boring at the moment and some other stuff missing. Also Dark AI goes all weird on that room, so I have to work on that.

Screenies look awesome. Lighting is extremely well done.
I like the posters...

Or, more specifically, the one furthest left.

EDIT:

Only thing is, the story lines WORDING seems a tiny bit boring.
Words like 'virus' and 'infections' or 'epidemic' would sound much better than just plain old 'bug'. Can't wait to see this.

I thought so

Thanks! I'll be doing more posters, for variation.

And I figured out what was causing the bug... I noticed it has the same texture that the ceiling segments (except very small texture), so I deleted the ceiling from one hallway, and boom! It was gone! The thing is, that now I don't have ceiling on that hallway... :/

Wow, this looks really nice! I've noticed a trend in these grungy/gritty sci-fi games on these boards. This one though is finally showing some class and style though

I love your use of stock and custom media, they blend so well together. Not to mention those segments, not sure where those came from but they look kickin. Perfect choice for the setting it seems.

Seeing as it is a space colony..or..prison rather, why not add windows to some parts, I understand the keeping the atmosphere cramped and moody but you can pull off just as swell of a job using the right skybox and choice implementation of windows.
Maybe in some of those larger rooms so they don't seem quite as box like.

Perhaps for your ceiling issue regarding that last screenshot, why not apply that roof texture to a flat wall entity (perhaps created in FIRMA if that's still around) and using that as the ceiling instead and still have it look good as before

As for the title, can't so much think of one all that great, but since the story seems to revolve around giant killer bugs, I'd suggest Entophobia (very simply, fear of bugs)

Hope to see more from you soon, looks great so far
cheers!

Thanks! The segments are from Hive Pack, you can find it in the store. I don't remember who made it ATM, sorry...

I wonder why windows never even came to my mind...

I could try that. Thanks for teh suggestion

Sounds cool! Thanks for that!
And I did a search, and it seems, it's actually Entomophobia
If there's a nice mod around, I would be very thankful if you could change the threads name to
[x9] ENTOMOPHOBIA

A new screen! This actually took a long time to get to this state as it is, but it's still a WiP. What do you think?

And if any mod happens to pass by, I'm still hoping that to get this thread renamed. Thanks!

I would add some more props on the ceiling to make it look less flat.

Other than that its actually great! You are doing an excellent job here MD.

Is the E-Mail address in you're profile still valid, buddy?

This all looks very promising. I like the vast, sci-fi style of all the rooms, and the unkempt nature of the entities.

One criticism would be that your story seems a little genric, but thats not a major problem at the moment.

I have been trying to fix some gliches and bugs + redesigning some areas to look better. And also, the shooting scenes, I have have made it new with new characters (just quess wich ) and I have tried to correct some bugs that also happens with characters... I recently found beta 9, and will be testing it out, if it fixes some of them bugs
