@PAGAN I totally agree but it wouldn't be the first time square has done it i remember that i used to have Final Fantasy origins on the Playstation and the graphics where completely refurbished. I think that certain types of games can go through a refurb and still be as good for the fans as they where originally, I think Monkey Island 1 and 2 and the original Mario games are a good example of that.
Personally I think its best to offer the original titles as they where , Sega have done that by re-releasing emulated versions of all their original Mega-Drive/Genesis and Master System games via a variety of platforms and seem to be doing quite well because of it especially since there are a few raritys many of which are highly sought after. I think many of the old final fantasy games are restricted to collectors many of which probably wont even play the games and just lock them up in a cupboard somewhere to gain value and not be appreciated properly by the fans.
End of line.
