This is truly one of the greatest film of all time, Its score is sublime and the overall story is a heartfelt to anyone who feels pain and hope, I share this to you not because of its actors or of the director but as the sheer freedom and hope it brings and feels, If you have not watched this work of art, do so now.

As much as i love it and i do love it, its far too overplayed/popularised now. Its ending like kings of leon hype but streched out over a few years :/

I was about to rent it like 4 days ago... such a good movie! Well
worth watching again. There's also this movie called The Last Castle
and it also was a very good movie! Something to look into.

Also one more I would have to say No Escape was also as good as
the others. Those three movies would have to be my favorite prison
movies and in no escape there on a prison island!

I dont know how to spell

This was one of two movies I really have no complaints about. It's just an overall great movie. The other one being Saving Private Ryan.

I just now realized I've had a typo in my signature for the past 3 years.

syko, you're way late on this movie! But yea it was a good movie, but like Lazerus I agree it's over-hyped.

This is my favorite movie. They should have ended it with Red on the bus, the way the book did. But stupid people previewing the movie complained and wanted full closure with Andy and Red. Missed the whole point of the story!

But I love the movie.

That's Hollywood for you. A lot more good films would have come out of Hollywood if they didn't try to please everyone (dumb people who can't think for themselves and have to be spoon-fed). Why does every film have to have a happy ending? Even when it's completely implausible?

[edit]

I love that film though .

I have to admit, the new Dan of the Dead has a pretty awesome intro for the whole apocalypse thing. Johnny Cash really sets it off.
