so. i have an old kickass industrial grade bulletproof server case here thats more than deserving of a kickass system inside. it can fit 8 devices inside so i already decised it will have at least 4 TB of HDD (in mobile racks), a blue ray... maybe something else. but what i am reallystumped with is what kind of system would be good these days. I already have a system with a QX9650 (3ghz quadcore) this one has a GTX 460 2gb and i have another system with a phenom x4 3.4ghz (top of the line AMD quadcore) this one is with 5870 1gb.
SO i am thinking, i want to build a system i never really had before probobly an i7. my dillema is if i am gonna build an i7, should i go with the older ones ir with the new sandybridge one? the thing is the old i7 socket was killed after a year. so i just dont know if i should wait for something better to come out? If i am gonna dish out $1000 for a top of the line i7, i might as well do it than wait for the price to come down considering how long it took with a QX9650
so any ideas?
