Anyone else, please feel free to share your build specs, specialty drivers / utilities.
Well my new settup is up and running.
Nothing super special, but it is doing a great job for what I need right now.
So far, Runs FPSC, Ac3d, Blender, Expression Web Pro (web / design / encoder), and Visual Studio (express) without a single hitch or stutter. I will see about UDK today..(downloading now..)
Mobo: MSI K9N6PGM2-V2 "Professional Series" (Really need a Mobo with more Sata ports)
CPU: AMD Athlon II 64 X2 Dual Core 5200+ 2.7 GHZ (Stock Cooler)
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 4550 1G (low profile)
PSU: 500W (some random brand)
RAM: 4G (2x2G) Random HP Sticks
HDD: 500G WD
Case: SK-503 (Added inlet fan to the front and exhast fan to the back, using speedfan)
OS: OEM Windows 7 64bit Home Premium
WEI: Meh...Only 4.3 , but of course that is the Areo shooting me in the face. (Screen Capture of WEI attatched)
I think I will make sure I keep frequent back-ups and beef this thing up slowly till the Mobo screems.
Any one have any stable OC Specs for my processor? MSI Dual Core Controller is what I will use for the OC
(keep in mind I am running a stock cooler for now lol)
I am using the ATI Catalyst Over Dive with the "auto tune" , it only improved the index by .1... Meh!
Temps stay fairly constant between 24c and up to 35c (according to speedfan so far). Except the GPU which according to Catalyst stays at a pretty constant 42c, only has a small sink and fan (might duct the exhast fan to suck on that GPU if I feel the need to) and haven't really push the GPU at all.. I suppose I will use UDK and Crysis to see how it handels a real load.. From every where I read, this card is really only meant for HD Media Centers (It was cheap and it was right down the road from me. No Frye's for 60 miles for me.

NewEgg is great but I just don't like the hassle of getting bricked compenents in the mail and having to send it back and wait on another. Plus, of course I was in a hurry to sell my other PC. To make up for the money spent on this one.
Anyone know anything about running mulyiple GPU(s)?
Ive got another GPU, ATI HD 4350 is there a way to run the two together? I don't need multiple displays just want to try and shoot Areo back in face!
For multiple displays I have read you can use twin GPUs or at least GPUs that share the same driver together.... am I wrong on this? Maybe I could apply those same instructions in my case..
Anyways, just shareing...
Take care.
