Here's a vote for [] as they make arrays stand out better, and it is common practice among all other languages I have ever used. I think for readability and clarity it is important to separate the look of function calls and arrays.

It's going to be easier on all users except those who only code in DBP. It will also make the step to C++ and Tier 2 easier (just like many other changes talked about on this board). If you take code made for Tier 1 to Tier 2 then this would also make that job worse.

I'll vote square brackets, but I wouldn't be bothered too much if it stayed with curved ones.

Having done all the important compiler stuff, I am just about to get stuck into changing the compiler to accept square brackets for arrays It will be a tearful day of development, but I think we are right here and there are many more reasons to use square brackets in this case. Welcome to the agk[42].future!
