I thought this was pretty cool. Not satisfied with the doctors' solution, this engineer decided he could design a better heart valve implant. After 2 years of work, the engineer backed up his creation by testing it on himself. Now that's a real statement of one's confidence in their own work.

Pretty cool. If I ever lose my hand in an accident, rather than take the standard prosthetic hands, I will create my own chainsaw hand ala Bruce Campell.
