Soooo on the subject whos got there nuclear war survival plans in place? I have.

My plan:

buy a gas mask and HAZMAT suit Flee to the country when the time comes (I am living in high priority target.) Away from big citys and military bases and wait it out in a tent in a ditch with earth on top of it while nukes are fulling 20 miles away. as the scouts say: "Be prepared"

Simple.

Train in martial arts (check), so i can kick ass
Weapons Training, so I can ward off super mutants and look damn cool doing it
Achieve enlightenment so I can build a wall of psychic energy to protect myself from the blast and any radiation
Pick up some one liners, so I can sound damn cool when I kill some cheeky ass raider
Learn some pick up lines, because I'd totally be a chick magnet

I live in a small village away from anywhere important, so maybe we'll get off lightly in a nuclear war, just as long as nobody takes my request to nuke my nearest town seriously.

Saying that, if anybody has a grudge for John Major, I might be screwed, I mean, he only lives up the road.

I'm kinda hoping that our nation is so pathetic we've sort of dropped off the nuclear target map.

Hopefully, I'll just get bitten by some sort of radioactive creature and pick up a special power or two.

With a bit of luck, it won't be a dog because I don't see much need to be able to chase parked cars, pee on lamp posts and do disgusting things to my owners leg while living in a post-apocalyptic world

That is horribly sadistic... I'll be sure to remember it!

I think my plan would be to get out of town fast, then get stuck in traffic/the mob of people trying to get out, and get killed in seconds by the explosion.

Drive up to Scotland, find an old, deep mine and stay in there at the very bottom for a good few months until the fallout is mostly gone. I doubt nuclear bombs would drop on Scotland anyway, so going there in the first place would be an added security check.

A scuba suit would probably be cheaper than a Hazmat suit and a lot more robust.

Yeah, Nukin oz would be a bit difficult since the country is so large and the cities are very spread out. I think Melbourne was rated by something as one of or is the best city for "last stand of humanity"

My knoledge of makeshift weapon manufacturing is some what disturbing (I could make a gatling shotgun and a variety of explosives) .

What would I do? I'd be a Southerner for the first time in my life, and stockpile guns. Guns are almost as easy to get in the United States as ramen noodles, so I shouldn't have any issues.

I just now realized I've had a typo in my signature for the past 3 years.

If my country would be nuclear a$$ed (<is this spelled correctly? ) some day, I'd more than likely get struck by a radioactive wave and get superpowers, which would charge up my guitar playing abilities, and then I would be able to vaporise the radiation around me, just by playing some superawesome metalriffs!
Of course, the biggest problem would be to find a guitar in my neighborhood that hasn't been destroyed by the blast.
Hum, maybe I should build me a guitar that would stand such an impact...?

Buy this and stockpile a LOT of food. maybe buy an offshore oil rig that I can convert some area on to be nuclear-proof and grow some food on.
