Okay, these are a couple of images I made for my game, and, well, I was wondering what you would rate them out of ten?
Just FYI, all of them took under an hour to make, all together.

Banners:

The images are now clickable... To my WIP thread

I'm currently sorting out a website.

I think it looks pretty good. +10

I wouldn't mind getting a banner like that for my game. How do you make them, or could you make me one??

Thanks

I'd happily make you one, if you really like it. If other people like them too, I might make a tut.

I'll need game name, genere, and if you want specific things in the banner. Eg, colours, screenshot, weapon, etc.

I think the two would be good as a kind of splice.

New poster type image.

I read "The calm before" and then frantically looked around the banner for the end of the sentence. Therefore I rate it as follows:

Lookiness ->
Confusation -> <-(Bad penguin)
Crazy Shapes ->
Clickability ->

TOTAL -> (Bad penguin)

This roughly equates to 3/10
Sorry if that sounds harsh but the colours clash and it looks very busy, there's nothing going on apart from the text.

[seriousity of big ideas follows]
I like the big picture though, I think it would be even better if you removed the fractals and the "code red missile threat" and the reticle and all the missile recognition graphics. So you'd just have the CIA satellite etc text in the corner with this small object in the distance, is it a missile? is it a nuclear missile???!! I like the ambiguity in that and I think that comes across in your sub-title "the calm before" its as if your picture has captured the last moment before anyone realized a full out nuclear war had begun!

Heh. Well, I'll edit the picture now.
(Paint.net layers FTW!)

The banner shall be clickable soon.
Honestly, I know their not that great - I've put more effort into eating a pot noodle, but yeah. I'll work on a final screen soon, once I've completed the main picture. I'll need to find a way to make the missile stand out WITHOUT the "HUD's"

Anyway, thanks for the feedback, all.

In all honesty, the idea's presented in the images are very cliche and too corny sounding.

"Red Alert" - Seriously? There is not one military system in the world that still calls it something as vague as "Red Alert".

A military computer would never display "Possible Missile", they'd use "Unconfirmed Threat".

"C.I.A Satellite 1" sounds generic. Assign a more specific serial number to it. "C.I.A Sat. NA-001", for example.

The idea generally reminds me more of Call of Duty 4 than anything, but it isn't really that bad except for a few mediocre texts.

I just now realized I've had a typo in my signature for the past 3 years.

I agree, I think things are now assigned threat levels (low, elevated or high, their colours are green yellow and amber/orange)

Lol, that was the first version. I removed that stuff for the final image anyway. The new one, being less cluttered, I think has a better effect. Instead of thrusting the missile into your face, it subtly draws attention to it... With a MASSIVE glow.

But as for them not using code red, I don't believe they ever GOT TO, but there was actually a threat level - red.

On the matter of it changing:
