Time to productively critisize

Why did Russia send 3 soldiers to kill brits?

How did Russia become communist again?

(THIS ONE IS IMPORTANT) Britain has an army, in fact it has the most elite fighting force in the world the SAS, so why is the USA dealing with their problems?

How is the Russian Army spread out, they are flipping huge! youve said theyve been killed (i think) but you haven't explained it properly.

This could easily be an amazing story but you need to remember realism makes these games better. Heres a tip, France and the USA are better friends now than the Brits and Americans are so an attack on French civilians staged as an act of terrorism (while really being a secret Russian operation) would now be more realistic than the Brits being attacked by Russians, also if Russia went back to communism it would need to expand to survive (invading east European countries) maybe it already controls the east and is preparing to launch a strike on the leaders of the European union (Germany, France, Britain) but before I go on rambling, Good luck with this game i hope to see it develop more!

Dude the new story looks a lot more solid and i would love to write up a large view version (looking at the whole war) and then maybe you could put these on the loading screens to add something to the story. But if you want me to help i think that I can do the story writing and with the 2 (maybe 3!) of us the game will probrably turn out to if anything be remembered for a brilliant story.

Heh the good old days... yeah I loved inventing world conquest ideas... anyways

The loading screen idea you said animated ones! I WAS GOING TO WRITE THAT IN MY LAST COMMENT but thought you didn't want to copy COD.

btw could you tell me a bit about the story you came up with so i could look over it once or twice to see what the storys gunna be like so that i could start looking for holes or help. lets not rush though or we'll use our energy up in the first few days.

And Great, unique story, not the average, 'oh no a nuke, must destroy' or 'alien atacking our ship, must make 3 games, then one that takes place before all of them, then another in the middle and a last one before all of them'

sorry i didn't mean to imply you were copying i geuss i didn't word it properly and give me a mo to get my email up "connorjohnegan@hotmail.co.uk" done! also about enemy placing, if your having trouble you can just think COD: black ops enemy positioning (specifically the rooftop spetznaz mission and the snow base infiltration one). btw is the war just between the UK and communist Russia or are the EU involved or members of it.

The newer storyline is much better and adds more depth with a quick glance however there still seems to be two plot holes that i can't but help fall down.

Why did the extreme communists attack British civilians? is it simply they don't like British people or was the spy they killed British and caused them to get a dishonourable discharge. the explanation you've given so far doesn't read properly.

The UK would probably invade Russia but the Communist Force would need to be massive with uprisings everywhere but a particularly large one in Moscow we are talking about hundreds of thousands of people.

The Russians would only pull forces away from fighting the communists if they though they were going to win this "civil war" in a way so maybe they were winning sent soldiers to fight off the British invasion and then a second wave of communist rebels came and succeeded in a final push against the loyalist forces.

Now on a different note. I like the fact that in a way the Russians and Brits come to a stalemate. This stalemate could be what forces the communists to start expanding, to try and gain more resources and troops. The new story is well though out congrats it really is something quite nice and should be a refreshing change from playing as Americans and just trying to kill everything.

However, the screenshot seems uninspired. Give us something that will "Wow!" us as your first screenshot.

Well, if you want to have your game "tested", then upload whatever you got and give the link to some volunteering forum members (or everyone if you are convinced of your works quality).

Otherwise you risk of just wasting your time with a build that gets no decent FPS on any PC

In case you find my grammar and spelling weird ---> native German speaker ^^

I just realized your story is oddly similar to Call of Duty 4's, with elements of Modern Warfare 2.

Could be either the attack on the airport in Modern Warfare 2, or could be the nuke set off by Al-Asad in the first Modern Warfare.

Very close to Nikolai, and how you had to rescue him as he was an "inside man."

The massacre in the airport in Modern Warfare 2 triggered a war, not to mention the government was overthrown by the Ultranationalists.

As stated above, you really give no background as to how or why these events happened. Some Russians got fired from the military so they start a war? Makes no sense, unless I'm just not understanding.

I've recently had to pause all work on it for various reasons. Because of the constant complications and the small amount of work I have done level wise, I feel it would make more sense to keep it secret until it is closer to the release date. By the time I create a new thread, I WILL have at least one video of gameplay. I am also working full time on a sub-project for Thunderstorm at the moment, and cannot handle keeping a post up to date.
