I just realized your story is oddly similar to Call of Duty 4's, with elements of Modern Warfare 2.
Quote: "One month ago, a troop of recently dismissed Russians fired upon a heavily populated high street in London. Hundreds of civilians were killed, and many buildings burnt to the ground."
Could be either the attack on the airport in Modern Warfare 2, or could be the nuke set off by Al-Asad in the first Modern Warfare.
Quote: "These men were extremist communists, and sacked for firing upon a target that was supposed to be brought alive. This target was thought to be a spy, having been snooping around Russian military bunkers and laboratories.
The troop of ex-Russian soldiers seemed to disappear, nothing being heard from them for a week. The UK government wanted justice, and they wanted it fast. They sent men into Russia to find them. "
Very close to Nikolai, and how you had to rescue him as he was an "inside man."
Quote: "After a single shot was fired, an all out battle began, spreading into a war between the two nations swiftly. Many holidayers from the UK were taken hostage, and after a large debate in Moscow, the Russian Government as overthrown, falling back into communism."
The massacre in the airport in Modern Warfare 2 triggered a war, not to mention the government was overthrown by the Ultranationalists.
As stated above, you really give no background as to how or why these events happened. Some Russians got fired from the military so they start a war? Makes no sense, unless I'm just not understanding.
I just now realized I've had a typo in my signature for the past 3 years.
