That stuff also happens in rugby occasionally, I remember seeing a rugby match a few years ago, a player had a bandage on his head where you could see it was bleeding, but he carried on playing so im not too sure if american football is more dangerous, its just if you throw that much protection on someone, then the automatic assumption is that its more dangerous, and im not too sure about the assumption you made that just because there american they have more muscle and strength unless there getting 'other substance help' to put on the extra muscle your talking about.
I was just talking to my brother about it as it was on the news about the earlier match, and he said there was a match a few years ago against some american football team against one of our rugby teams, and apparently you lost both matches...
As for the differences about the rules, Apparently american football is just there own version of Rugby according to this, infact apart from 2 or 3 rules, (and all the padding), its pritty much the same, although american football is slower.
