Please don't ask any questions unrelated to the shoe please.

Anyways, the size is 5Y. I've attached 4 photos to show you what it looks like.

What an odd question.

They look like Nike Airs, is this some sort of test?

Actually, no. I want to know what shoes these are designed for to help me. I got it at Mardens. Do you think it's good for running?

No offense, but shoes don't exactly determine your running ability. Sure, some have a higher tread count, some also are more flexible, but it's a bit unrealistic to expect them to increase your running ability / jumping ability.

I just now realized I've had a typo in my signature for the past 3 years.

No offense, but they can improve the comfortability of running / jumping. I don't see how his question is worded "Will these make me run faster?" he simply asked are they good for running, which if they're designed with running in mind, they're going to be more comfortable.

I'm a runner, so I can tell you precisely what good running shoes will and won't do for you. With good, custom fitted shoes, they will indeed help you run faster, and be more comfortable. While poor fitting shoes can break you. Those are good for training. Like the months before a marathon, you would wear those. But you wouldn't where those in the race itself.

No doubt that comfort can make a difference, I'm not disputing that. I just always see people asking about shoes thinking it'll suddenly make them run 10x faster. I personally find that wide DC's are more comfortable to run in than anything else, they make normal tennis shoes too narrow.

Probably, generally for stuff like Badminton it's good to have a pair of court shoes you don't wear outside - some courts are quite fussy and ask for non-marking shoes and naturally, court shoes don't mark, looking at the bottom, it's possible they'll mark - but if where you're going doesn't mind, then that's nothing to worry about. I've got myself a pair of Hi-tec Squash shoes for doing Badminton and Squash (as my local sports centre is fussy)...speaking of all this, I really ought to continue going to the court.

As long as you're comfortable and can move around in your shoes well, then it really ought not matter whether they're designed for a particular sport or are scientifically optimised with little rockets attached to your feet...unless you're racing, then rocket propelled shoes ought to give you an edge.

Better fitting shoes will allow you to run further, at least for me. I went through 3 pairs of shoes before I found a pair that didn't make my feet go numb after 3 miles. And those light weight spiked track shoes offer different advantages entirely.

It's all relative. Might make you run faster, but not necessarily faster than others. In highschool, I beat other kids in the 400m easy and I wore boots (but I lost the 100m).
