So I've never been interested in Twitter, but since I'm releasing Space Squadron soon, I've decided I need to look into every possible avenue for publicity. So I've joined Twitter and am tweeting about the game. Now I've found TGC on there and am following them, but are there any other developers on here tweeting about their games or other work?

My twitter account is HangfireArcade.

yes, we're tinkering around with it. As for developers, there's heaps of them... Lots of game sites/reviewers etc etc..

Seen loads of them! Too many to count in fact. I'm more interested in DBP developers from this community though. Looks like it would be a good way to keep track of what people were up to. Already got TGC but would like some DBP devs to follow.

I don't really see the point, IMO.

I usually just subscribe to RSS feeds for dev blogs I like. Twitter seems like an unnecessary layer between viewers and actual content.

But that's just my opinion.

I don't really see the point either. All it is, is a candy-coated RSS feed, as stated. I dislike how people make such a big deal about something Facebook has had for ages (the wall).

I just now realized I've had a typo in my signature for the past 3 years.

Hey Fallout, long time no see!

I'm @tha_rami, my studio is @Vlambeer.

Twitter is just what it is: a simple, concise and quick way to start dialogue. Comparing it to RSS is extremely odd in my opinion - RSS does not encourage dialogue but monologue.

Facebook, like Twitter, RSS, blogs and many similar services each cater to the needs of different types of people. For a company or studio, it wouldn't hurt to use all of them as long as you can dedicate the resources to keep them alive and in optimal shape for the medium.

I don't really work in DBP (now learning XNA and some other stuff), and my Twitter account is filled with spam from Last.fm and Giantbomb that I have only recently disabled auto-posting from. But I am working on a game and have a Twitter.

I might consider doing it when i get into some of the juicy progress of the game. Not the boring beginning things you always see fail.

Screw it, i got it out of the way. Ill keep posted.

Glad to see some others use it! More people to add.

It seems like a good way to keep up to date with what people are up to, and to jump in and start discussions when something interesting catches your eye.
