Developer: Wolf

Description:

Okay guys, take a deep breath and fasten you're seatbelts because this is going to be fast.

I'm starting this game from scratch right now and the Contest Deadline is the 27th February.

This game will be some rushed, basic crap But hey! Its kind of a challenge for me to see what I can come up with in these few days.

I do not expect to win with it, Anyway! I entered, I gonna deliver

Story :The fall of the third reich, Berlin: You play as Alexander Zoller, a german medical student ,. You seeked shelter in an underground bunker structure during an Airraid attack. Unfortunately, it was a research lab where an experimental chemical has been developed and tested. It was a gas that amounted violence, fear and rage in a mamal. The goal was to infect the enemies with the substance and let them rip themselve appart. However, there where sideffects such as severe deformations of the limbs and other tumors. The experimental substance vanished quickly if not frozen... even though the security precautions where high, a chemist broke a vial and the substance spreaded through the entire facility. It has been locked down and left for its fate since 5 months. Now, a bombimpact has corrupted the doormechanism and opened it for the unlucky player.

The usual horrible english, please excuse

Pretty stereotypical eh? However: Its a one-level game, not a novel.

Yes This is why I love making games in FPSCreator.
For the textures: I have a lot of routing with Paint Shop, so things go pretty fast

Quote: "Could those hands go with EAI models as well?"

Nah, they are for CyborgArts Stock Media Weapons.

EAI's Hands have a different layout and modeled in gloves. (didn't know that until someone I helped out with a texture pointed it out All those years using EAI's media, and I didn't notice it )

Well, well, so I felt pretty save the day before yesterday, safe and satisfied upon what I had done for the contest. And now I see you indeed come along with a game (I had hoped you wouldn`t *g*)

Allright, firing on Maya, firing on Gimp, firing on FPI Editors again. Let`s get ready to rumble!

BTW: Nice job so far...

Come to where the madness is:

Thank you The Winner of the competition gets them

I doubt that I'll be able to compete with a well made game like you'rs. I simply try to do something and see what I can do in a single week. If the result is somewhat enjoyable, I might do a few more "one week games" this year

Yes it was

Quote: "Wolf, once again you create another masterpiece. It looks very good and creepy!"

Thank you! Very flattering to hear people call my games Masterpieces.

*******************************

So, I had some time for the game this morning. I planned to work on it the whole noon, but a lot of stuff came in my way

Anyway: I've been collecting some sounds and reworked them in wavepad. Sirens and bombing noises always make me feel uneasy and I think it will add to the game's athmosphere...

I also had some time to continue on the map. See below

Next thing I'll do will be changing this horrible crosshair

There is also a change in the story line: The maincharacter is a mechanic. There will be a few machines to fix (and collect parts for) in this game. I want to stretch the gameplay a bit as it is only a one level show

Overall development time: 3 hours

*More leveldesign
*Some artworks and textures
*Soundeffects and Ambientsounds
*Fullscreen Shader Effect switch

Time left : 5 days

You could just take it out altogether - it would make the game feel more real and make it a bit more scary too.

I agree. With airmod settings on all stock weapons there's no need for crosshairs imo - and most designs are still annoying when the player uses ironsight.

@Hamburger and theStoryteller: You guys got me convinced, I got rid of the crosshair.

@A.J. Schaffer and Darkfrager: Thank you

@Seko:

**********************************

Some new screenshots: As you can see, the map is low on detail to keep the framerate and the memory cap stable:

Overall development time: 4hours and 45 minutes

*Retextured the enemies
*Remade the weapons reloadingsounds (you can slightly hear the magazine hit the ground while reloading the mp40 )
*A bit more of the map

Time left: 4 days

Lookin' good Wolfiedude

I just don't get guys like you. How the hell you work so FAST? I mean, I'm not the sharpest pen in the drawer but I ain't stupid neither, and I still can't produce much in for example the same time you've done this game so far

Best of luck with this proh-jact. May the best game win (well that's kinda obvious isn't it )

The screen with the self-illumanted X-Rays and all the medical stuff beneath is incredibly AWESOME.

A 100% believable working environment of a crazy WWII scientist!

@The Storyteller 01:

@Thoughtwire Software:

@Juzi: I don't know...It must be the coffee

@Ertlov: Thanks! Lets see how many additional detail the Memory cap allows me to add.

*****************************

So, I had a long boring day alone in front of me so I decided to work on this. I made a new damage Hud (the one from Euthanasia wasn't THAT great), mediocre HUD's for the guns and a pretty cool Healthsystem you guys will see soon

I'm also done with the necessary levelparts, I will now add details until I reach 1,85 gb.

This game's lightmapquality will be extremely low though.

Out of ammo? Perform a melee attack!

A dead Wehrmacht Guard... thats where you'll find the Schmeisser (MP 40)

Overall development time: 8hours

*Sounds for enemies
*Finished the map
*Added half of the gameplay elements
*HUD Graphics
*Some tweaking

Time left: 3 days

I plan to use them more often

This seems to work well, so this won't be the last "One week videgame project" of mine. Next one will use stock weapons aswell.

You did a very good job on them Cyborg ART

@ Wolf
Quote: "Its a one level game, I just needed something to get a reason for zombies in a bunker."

You could have entered a bunker that was developing a new type of airborne chemical intended for use in the bombing of London with the intent of destroying vital brain cells of the populous of London (resulting in a surrender); however the impact of a shell above ground caused one of the testing chambers to rupture filling the bunker with gas.

The gas however wasn't complete meaning it was only in effect for 15 minutes before oxygen diluted it. Rendering the bunker safe for entry; but all who were previously inside were either turned into primal rabid hordes or slaughtered by them.

[This is just an idea I had when reading your post - feel free to use it!]
