Hi all,
I want to introduce my new project where I'm at work for 3 months for the school.
The goal is to build an imaginative city with other players.

PhysX must be installed:

Server: oc.servehttp.com

Server Offline

Accounts available:
test1,test2,test3,...,test10
All have the pw: test

Control:
WASD: Move
Spacebar: Jump
Select object: Left mouse button
Right mouse button: rotate camera look,
Arrow up, down: Adjust height of the object

Features:
- Huge world
- Integrated chat
- Delete objects and place
- Objects can be downloaded from the server and loaded into the 3D engine
- Objects are stored in a database and are loaded when you log in again
- PhysX integrated
- Multiplayer up to 100 players
- day-night cycle

Currently there are only 6 objects available, but this will change soon...

If you want to create your own Server download the Server package here

First you must install XAMPP and import the SQL File "Database\opencity.sql" to your MySQL Server. Then you can start the Servertool and login with your root account. Now you can edit the World, add Objects, edit Accounts etc...

That's Pretty cool man, can you integrate your own objects into the engine?
Hopefully it will get popular because if few people play it then it will be quite an empty and boring place.

Wow, epic, imagine custom made models. And making big epic cities!

Had the same idea for a space simulator. Everybody it's own planet (or small part of universe, and build there army. EPIC!

Physics looks cool

Limit's of this sig are really low o_o 200 characters and i can have only 2 carriage-returns ..:..:..

Yes, I have wrote a Server Admin Tool in C# where u can upload Objects to the Server:


If you wanna test it Server is online at the moment:

I found your program the only thing so far for change
since my memory is bad

would be to allow copy and past in for the name of the server

If a thought is Just a thought ~ so whats the main thought ?

gotta be careful with custom objects being uploaded, i would impose a size limit and if over the size scale the model down.


My software never has bugs, it just develops random features.

ya some times too much detail in a object with with many object
can rile sow thing down and with special effects added in
even what would be the fastest computer would chug

I've added the Server package, so you can create your own Server, add objects etc... I will soon release the Source Code, so you can customize the game to your own wishes. e.g MMORPG game, RTS game, Shooter etc...
