Anyone play this thing?

I watched my friends kids play the demo on their 360 this afternoon. It seemed way fast paced and chaotic to me..
Or maybe I am just not a hardcore gamer, to be able to follow this game. lol

Has some pretty attention grabbing effects and game play though, I think. Shoot, some of it is pretty sick actually.

I own it. Got as a gift on steam. Think I'm close to finishing it. Its a really fun game, epic. Its a scifi, bit of warping through space. Alot of kicking people in the face.
But as I said. Its VERY epic. And will give you a thrill. Performance isn't the best...but only at times. Damn gory.
Well I think it has a fun story anyway. Always loved scifi games.

I bought it yesterday and it's great fun. I enjoy the attitude of the game, but being able to be a little creative with kills is fun, some might deem it sadistic, it adds to the gameplay. Kick a guy into a bunch of spikes, slug his legs off, lift him up in the air then headshot, shoot him on the male parts to enfeeble him then get a clean shot of his neck to choke him to death (okay, that's probably a tad sadistic).

It's quite fast paced and there's plenty of action without bombarding you constantly, so it doesn't get boring. There's enough variety too, so you're not doing the same thing over and over. For some reason I am reminded of GoW just from how the levels are set out. Also I get the feeling it's a short game to complete too, I mean I think I've almost completed it.

I had a quick go on the multiplayer side of things, but I've not played enough of it to make a judgment, I'll complete the campaign mode first. I bought the Epic Edition, so I'll receive the beta to Gears of War 3 when it's out.

As an old fashioned gentleman...I despise games where my enemies lie defenceless on the floor...other than that it seems to be "another shooter". A good game, but nothing people will remember in 1 - 2 years

The campaign isn't innovative, but pretty epic.

It looks fun, but I think I agree with the 2 years till people forget statement.
Unless they keep on pushing them out like GoW.

im on the last mission, it's rather repetative, i'd say worth a rental but not a purchase, i bought it and i'm already planning on trading it in, the first few hours are great but you will tire of it quickly, i ended up playing a lot more killzone 3

I just saw a commercial for this game on TV and in the beginning of it they showed a clip from that CoD parody game Duty Calls.

This game looks nice but after playing the demo for about 10 mins I was bored.

I'm afraid the leash isn't enough to stop this average game being dragged kicking and screaming into mediocrity.

This game will be long forgotten by the time any game of the year nominations are being made.
