I thoroughly enjoyed the campaign in MW, and while I did enjoy it in Black Ops it didn't really feel any different. It would have been just enjoyable on the MW engine, since the only difference I really noticed was the story. Oh well, as long as people keep paying 70€ for a new story they'll keep making these.

All the COD kiddies are the main reason why I much prefer Killzone3 for multiplayer. It's just got so much more depth, I really haven't touched Black Ops since getting it. Not that any COD players should migrate to Killzone3, I like the player skill level and the occasional epic K/D ratio (10/1 on one game!).

I hate FPS on PC, actually, it might just be that i grew up on console, i find it easier to control the camera with the analog stick rather than sitting at the rather uncomfortable computer desk, unable to get any back support because of my tiny computer screen.

I have a FragFX for the PS3, like a nunchuck with a mouse - it's pretty good, but nowhere near as accurate as a PC mouse. Considering that it is just hacking that right thumbstick, it does a reasonable job. I don't really mind whether I play on PC or console, they both have their strengths. With consoles, you get analogue movement, analogue straffing, so you tend to use both sticks to aim, but on PC you have digital movement with more accurate aiming. I'm not even sure which one has better controls.

Really the deciding factor for me these days is price, I object to paying £40 when I can get it on PC for half that usually.

On Wii you have analogue movement and precision aiming Unfortuantly most developers are afraid to bring core shooters (like Battlefield) to this system... epic fail.

But I'm impressed by the graphical quality of Battlefield 3 so far. I only really played BF 1942 and Vietnam (and a little bit of Bad Company 2) but I think this will be quite good.
Although I'm fed up with this modern warfare theme, like I was with WWII...

WWII Got Old, Sure, when i played it for the first time, it was amazing, Which was Medal of Honor: Frontline. I loved that game, it was one of the best in the series to date, and still beats some of the more modern games today. but after 6 WWII games later, it got old.

The Wii controls are not precise in the slightest, and its hardware is simply not fast enough for a game like Battlefield 3.

The Wii is more of a party game, in my opinion. Nobody ever says, "I'm gonna go home and play Wii!" The Wii is a blast if you're not lonely.

There are great single player games on the Wii, like Super Mario Galaxy and Animal Crossing, but I wouldn't really call it a good match for "hardcore" gaming.

And Pikmin - I see the Wii as a more social console, usually just play monopoly on it or something like that. When I have a day off work, I often play the single player games... when nobody is around to laugh at me.

Me, I went right into hardcore Wii gaming (mainly online multiplayer, like GoldenEye, Conduit,...) like I did back in the days on PC (Counter Strike, Battlefield 1942). I don't see much of a difference.

To get back on topic, I think I wouldn't really enjoy BF3 as much with two sticks than with keyboard and mouse.

Does anybody know if there will be heavy vehicle usage like there was in the old BF games? These trailer videos imply more focus on the shooter/infantry side of things to me.

That's gotta be the number one gripe for me in games nowadays, it totally kills the mood for me. The constant swearing is so contrived, and comes off as juvenile.

The game looks incredible though, probably the most realistic visuals I've EVER seen in a game.

I agree that it's excessive, but I think it's been done in more mature shooters so they come off as more realistic. And if you ever watch real combat footage from somewhere like Iraq and Afghanistan, most soldiers really do seem to drop the f-bomb every other sentence, or often as a sentence by itself, although I'd probably be doing the same thing if bullets were kicking up dirt around me and flying by my head.

Anyways, I can't wait for Battlefield 3, although I'm more interested in the multiplayer part of it. Bad Company 2 is by far my favorite shooter, and probably on my top 3 of favorite games. I've probably played it an average of 5-6 hours a week since the demo for it came out. I love the destruction, massive maps, and vehicles, and can hardly stand going back to playing a game like CoD with none of that.

Same thing, just think, bullets flying by your head, people trying to kill you everywhere, and grenade explosions going off around you bringing you close to death, i think i would be hollering off cuss words too!
