Getting better and better. The only crit I would have is that his arms are flailing very, very fast. If you decreased his arm movement a bit it would be perfect!

All in all it looks pretty cool, but you can't really see the actual 'jump' animation in that, just the 'air' and 'landing' animations. Looks good though.

That is awesome, but the jump is a bit too long. maybe about half length would be more natural.
Also, it doesnt look as such like he is jumping, more like he is being lifted.

I like it - although I think you should have a roll ending as well, like after jumping that distance, the natural progression would be to go into a forward roll. Really the only way I can imagine landing like that safely is if it's on snow or sand - on anything else an ankle would snap (I know, because I broke an ankle that way as a kid . The lanbing you have would suit a shorter distance, at that jump distance there's too much momentum for that to end well . I would consider having a few different landings for that, then use a random one each time, or depending on the velocity - little slide for short, stumple and recover for medium, and forward roll for long jumps - maybe have him crumple in a heap, rolling around in agony holding his knee for insane distances . People just don't hurt themselves realistically in games, would be a nice change to see more mishaps I think.

His reference was probably an olympic long jump competitor... in which case he would more then likely be landing in sand... the only difference is he would still have reeled forward a bit if he used good technic. I think its good animation wise.. I might suggest you use a common thread for these that way people could see your animation skill progress. What i would most like to see though is the animation cycle creaton process if that would be possible. I think its cool to see how different people do things and how different they do them.

oh, I didn't reference anything, I just like to jump, and animated it as I would have. I do know that I usually land like that, and that's because when I kick my legs as far ahead of me as I can, it usually makes my gravity center go far enough backwards that I can't do anything but powerslide out of the jump.

and that jump is 41 feet, whereas the furthest I've jumped is about 16 or 17.
