Is there a way to procedurally generate 3d characters/monsters for a game?
I am very good of building in blender details myself and with genetica I also can make textures.
But when it comes to human beings ... it's hard ... any procedural (preferably free) solutions?

http://www.makehuman.org/

It's free, and will let you make high poly characters, nude, but pretty good quality. Even if the models are too high poly, they would be handy as guides, maybe even make a lower poly version and use the high poly for rendering a normal map. I haven't really tried to reduce the polygon count automatically, but the results would depend on the software.

Anyway, it's free and easy to use, so well worth checking out.
