So I just cleaned out my car, winter takes its toll on the interior. Anyway, just some pics:

And the interior:

Post away.

I just now realized I've had a typo in my signature for the past 3 years.

Yeah, I would take a picture of my dear Ford Escort 1994 but I only have a crappy cellphone camera + the usb cable for it has vanished somewhere.

I'll take a picture of it in summer when I've washed and waxed it and bought a proper camera

EDIT:

Poor selfish me. Just babbling about my own car and not saying anything about yours, lol.

Looks like a car I would get, not too modern but not ancient either. I would definitely change the color if I would buy your car . I just hate it.

How much have you driven with that ride?

My brother has a Ford Escort, good little car. A '95.

What you see there is a 2000 Chevy Prizm, which is essentially a Toyota Corolla. When we had to take the dash apart to replace the lights, the parts were actually stamped "TOYOTA" and then the part number. I remember when Geo made Prizm's, god those were good machines. I love my car though, runs very well.

EDIT: Misspelled a word. Fixed.

Sounds good. I just don't know anything about car's or other vehicles technical stuff because they don't interest me at all. I enjoy the driving itself more. Especially with my girlfriend. Well not at first because she was complaining how "I SUCK AT DRIVING" but now she has stopped that and I'm the king of the roads. Lol

I really don't know that much either. My father works for Ford, so I've heard enough crap about cars to make me dislike the idea of them. When you're on the repairing / service end of them, not so fun. Anyone can find a new car or a working car enjoyable, the minute problems start people start to dislike them.

My father is a freak for technical stuff too. That's why he handles the maintenance of my car, desperately trying to teach me something while I yawn. He also brings my Ford to the vehicle inspection every winter because there's no sense for me to bring it. If there would be some malfunctions and the guys in the garage would describe them to ME, I would just be "Yeeeeea? Ok."

My wagon and my wheelie machine. Seat Leon Cupra R (1.8 Turbo 220 BHP) and Suzuki SV650S (0-60 3.2 secs! ). Alas, if Dazzag reads this thread he will note the absence of my GTR.

So I bought this to replace it.

I wish (attn to those who just post the pics) when you post your vehicles they would have some description to at least model, make and year and anything else of interest about the vehicle. I'm just that way. Input . . . more input . . . I need input.

@PlanetaryFunk

I love the pic. It's funny. However, what kind of vehicle is that "monster." I don't know that much about vehicles but it almost looks like a modified Humvee.

@Phaelax

What kind of car is your new car? And year? That's an interesting grill.

This is my trusty steed.

It's a 2001 Ford Galaxy Ghia X 2.3i

I've owned it for about 5 years now, it's no where near as shiny now, and I might have driven it into a couple of things as well :$

It's perfect for an impoverished coder and father of 5 (Altho I'd much rather have the diesel version tbh, I get around 20mpg in it atm, not fun with the price of petrol spiralling out of control)

This was the first car I'd ever driven. (My dad didn't realise there was an 8 foot ditch next to us as I reversed along a road under his instruction. D: )

The car got pwnd and I felt like a silly.

This is exactly the same make and color as my car, though mine's a 2000. Got a steal of a deal on it! It's a Saturn SC2, 5-speed manual.

i dont have a car yet, but this is what i am going to get soon

GAZ 3102-this is pretty much the only good soviet car because originally it was designed in the early 80s for government officials.

or i am thinking of getting this one

This thing is a tank. It was made in late 1940s Its a GAZ M20 dubbed Victory (Победа it was made in late 1940s after the war hence the name is victory. This is the first officialy soviet car, before this, cars and parts were bought from USA and assembled in russia. Its one of the first cars that would be considered an SUV today, it had a radio, heating, AC, and stuff. today we take these things for granted but back then it was all new stuff in a car. I can still buy one of these in rural areas where people might still have these but i will proboly have to put in a lot of work in it.

btw Stalin didnt really like this car.

also, this might be out of my price range but i also wanted to get this car

THis old bmw 7 was famous for its legasy in the 90s orgonised crime in russia. Russian mafia people drove this car.

Here's a montage of all the cars I can remember having, starting with the VW, the first car I bought in 1973, and ending with the bottom two that I currently have. Everything in between I can't swear is in the proper order, but the colors are correct.

I remember all those too. Of course, I have one on our list that you do not. It was quite a nice ride where I grew up.

This vehicle was quite versatile. If it was not hauling our family (that's 6 kids and two adults), then it had another usage.

I miss those days. Never needed a boost, a tow truck, or engine repair. Just some oats, an apple, TLC. It was the perfect vehicle. Now, we have a Dodge Caravan, and of course my oldest vehicle:

This is the first card I owned (not an actual picture of mine), but mine was yellow and the back wheels were jacked up. My uncle put about $10k into the body to "hotrod" it. It was sweet!

Love that idea. It's cool to see the evolution from cheap cars to sports cars to sensible cars. How was the firebird?

Had to do my own for nostalgia purposes ...

Nova was my first car. Cost £1400, like a little go-kart, some nobber in a truck drove into it while it was parked outside my house and smashed it to pieces, but I got £1500 from the insurance company, so quids in. I then sold the wreck for £100. Good first car, cheap to insure, but only 4 gears so it was a screamer on the motorway.

Replaced with the Clio. Very average, nothing special, had the stereo nicked after about a year, and the door lock remained hanging out where the guy had screwdrivered it off. I don't miss that car.

Part exchanged that for the civic when I started my first job after uni. All nice electrics that I'd not had before. Looked good, only 100bhp but was still fairly nippy. I enjoyed that car.

Then after earning some money, part exchanged that for my imported '96 Nissan Skyline GTR. 400bhp, 4 wheel driver ATTESSA, 4 wheel HICAS steering, twin turbo, 0-60 in 5 secs. Monster upgrade from the civic. Loved that car so much. Very rare in my area too, being an import. After many high speed near moments, I ended up writing it off by reversing it into a steel post that was randomly in a car park in my blind spot. Too expensive to fix, as all the parts had to be imported.

With the insurance money, I got my Cupra R which I have now. 220BHP, lots of low down torque, nice internal build quality, and spacious with 4 doors, so a good all rounder (thats why I bought it).

Just before that I also got my full bike license and got my Suzuki SV650S. V-twin, torque everywhere, only 80bhp but that's a lot on two wheels. 0-60 in under 3.5 seconds. Enjoying it muchly, but will eventually move to a 1000cc bike.

You know what's sad? The U.S. didn't adopt a sleek look to their cars until early 1998, yet in 1996 one of your cars already looks like a newer American car.

I just now realized I've had a typo in my signature for the past 3 years.

The American market has definitely always been its own market, but UK cars were quite boxy for a long time as well. It seems to be the Japanese and French manufacturers that started to smooth off the corners in the early 90s.

Can't be bothered to take a pic but i've got one of these, but in blue and with better alloys. Its the sport edition aswell so the suspension is stupidly firm.
Got a few mods on it though, new cold air feed system, new air filter, "sports" exhaust system and a few small changes to the front grill. No obnoxious body kit, I can't stand them.

Gearbox has pretty good range, with lots of torque in the lower revs, my only complaint is that the sports suspension can make for quite an uncomfortable ride down certain roads.

I think Dazzag has an Elise. Not sure if he wrote it off or not. As for sports suspension, I feel your pain. My cupra is ok, but my Skyline had Tein Flex on it, with super hard springs. When I bought it I drove it straight to my mates house, and the dampers were set to maximum stiffness. By the time I got there, my arse cheeks were itching from 30 minutes of constant vibration! Good for driving fast, but not for cruising!

First of all thanks for including the type of vehicle. I'm not a vehicle expert at all. But, I like to look at vehicles and know what they are. Who knows, I may want one I see here.

@PlanetaryFunk
Quote: "it's a Knight XV and is most certainly not a hummer"

I knew it wasn't a regular hummer. Just thought you had it modified to a very great extent.

I looked up the Knight XV and found that it is a Canadian built luxurious, fully armored SUV.

I don't mean to be nosy but what do you need a fully armored vehicle for? Luxurious, I understand.

@Silver Codemaster
Quote: "'03 Jaguar S-type R, I thought the hood ornament would be a dead giveaway."

And you liked your other car that was trashed better? Or am I not remembering correctly.

For me it was not a giveaway. I haven't really seriously looked at a Jaguar for a long time. They didn't look like this in the 60's.

We have only one vehicle and my wife drives it. I stay at home most of the time. When I do get out and I'm with her, she drives. As soon as she let's me I'll take a picture of it. In the meantime, I'll take a pic of what I do drive.

I love my Jag, but my 300m was better on gas, took regular instead of premium, larger interior, cheaper to fix and maintain. Plus it was just a really nice car that I kept looking brand new.

Quote: " I haven't really seriously looked at a Jaguar for a long time. They didn't look like this in the 60's."

You sure? I don't think they've changed all that much since the first s-type was introduced in 1963.

I guess I can see some similarity. But there's enough differences that remembering and seeing something made today is cause for not recognizing it as a Jag.

The headlights are placed differently, the grill on the older is more elongated up and down and design is a little different, the hood or bonnet is longer and just looks different to me. Oh, and the hubcaps are different; but, I can't remember if you could get fancier hubcaps in the 60s or not. I didn't.

It's probably because you have been used to the changes over the years and I haven't seen newer ones in a very, very long time.

As a footnote. My wife says I can't ever recognize faces because I can't see the details. Maybe it's the same with cars.:LOL:

There are no hubcaps on the newer one!

I didn't say they were exactly the same, but an s-type from any era is unmistakable. Very few cars with an old heritage like that have maintained such a similar design. Sure there have been throwback designs like the challenger and mustang, but they had many years where the looked nothing like their originals. Look at an '83 Charger or a 90s Duster.

Nice subway train Pagan, we don't have those in Ohio.

As a random side note, I just read a quote that amused me: "The Chrysler Corporation is an 84 year-old with Bipolar Disorder"
