I always read people's signatures.

I have to say, that new one you've made for yourself is absolutely horrible - you should change it back.

Some people use nice signatures.

High quality...

Photoshop CS5 rendered...

Signatures...

With links...

, but to be honest all the signatures here are cool, but 9 out of 10 times I never read the text based ones, unless someone makes a specific re fence to it.

Yep, I read 'em, and always click them if they seem to be highlighting an interesting product the person is working on. Then I give them maximum respect and put £1,000,000 aside into a secret trust fund for them as a reward, to be paid to them in the advent they actually finish the product in question.

Luckily, most people's work looks like a dog puke. However, there are 3 secret trust funds currently gaining interest, waiting to make their authors filthy stinking rich. Are you the one?

mr_d, I'm preeeeetty sure that there's a limit the mods impose on sig size. 600x120? I think its less than 800 though...

Hmmmmm...you could be right Neuro, but it's not going to look very good (not that it is now) if it has to be any smaller than it is now...

I'll wait to see if any mods comment/action this and hope that it's within the limits.

I'm preeeeetty sure I've seen others around that have been 800x120, but we'll see soon enough I suppose

Did you upload it to each thread, or re-link the same image from one upload? You may have to apologise to the poor TGC harddrive.

A - Wwhat is the size for the signatures max acceptable sizes

B - How do I link my sig to an image?

C - How do I create a hyperlink on the image?

thanks in advance

I find Dark basic dude79's sig funny. I don't have much of a sig just me with glasses and my real name. Yea, I look like a smiley face.

@Flatlander Haha thanks!

@MrValentine
Quote: "B - How do I link my sig to an image?"
Lets see, you would put the image URL between <img> and </img>... Just make sure you replace the angle brackets with square brackets ([ and ])

I used to have a clickable image for my sig a while back, but i forget how i did that... I think 600x120 is it as @NeuroFuzzy said...

And @Mr_D your sig was erased

Haha long post but

[href=http://www.tranquil-media.co.uk>[img>http://www.tranquil-media.co.uk/TGCFORUM/tgcforumsig.gif[/img>[/href> Haha just replace all the angles on the right with squares

And the sky is the limit when it comes to editing posts... I dont know about Flash...

Here is what your sig should look like:

You can add put that between <center> and </center> to get this:

I thought as much...

im doing something wrong here...

[href=http://www.tranquil-media.co.uk>[img>http://www.tranquil-media.co.uk/TGCFORUM/tgcforumsig.gif[/img>[/href>

theres a few extra > <'s

..

yay got the hang of it @ DBD79

I am working on a new one at present, does tgc forum access the link or does it download and save the gif locally? cus it seems if I remove the gif from my website it stays on forum pages... :S

awesome I can update all my forum signatures in one go ^^

Well im not sure how that would happen, because as far as i know it links them... But keep in mind only the sig on the post you edit is updated... However your avatar everywhere is always up to date.

umm in the script it accesses the file off of my web site, so if i change that file, it changed across the forums >.< as the pages access the file off my web site whenever the page is loaded, saves on forum bandwidth too

EDIT

this is my final deign, though I might alter TGC in the first mention give it its own frame... what do you think?

ooo lol me = tired lmao, but yeah I tried to find out on these forums if there was a ay to use a flash banner... then i found the size limitation on one thread result, actually at the end of it all when i finalised my banner, I thought, hang on... those google ads are flash based XD so I worked out they use PHP script to run an iFrame to load the flash banner... will look at it soon and see if I can replicate it unless a mod tells me otherwise... I aint a scripter for web based crap I only know how to make the animations so hope they let me be if i do bother to figure it out... I was also thinking to avoid it being annoying I would be able to place a PLAY button on it can not do that for gif

EDIT

OH yeah if anyone else wants one of these banners, just do what I told DBD79 and contact me ...

I get the feeling in some way I am promoting these apps for TGC ^^

Nice, just a bit distracting... Maybe one that has a bunch of small bullets shooting quickly from the left and the vertical position they shoot from changes. And this being a signature oriented thread, look at mine! It's true
