I've downloaded Box2D and cmake and have been trying to compile/install or w/e for the past 2 hours and am getting absolutely nowhere. Does anyone know how to install it and would you be so kind as to tell me?

Thanks in advance.

What is the problem you are encountering exactly.

1. Download
2. Install to DBPro folder
3. Enter registration key

Check 1: You have a Start Menu folder for Box2D
Check 2: You can compile and run one of the examples provided
Check 3: The Box2D commands are highlighted correctly in the source code

I'm assuming PlanetaryFunk is referring to building the actual Box2d library for C/C++, not the DBP plugin (otherwise he would have just d/loaded the plug-in, presumably)

Unfortunately I can't help: I faced the exact same problem. CMake refused to build it on Windows. I ended up just compiling via command line (still using CMake) on OS X which worked fine.

EDIT: Talking of which, doesn't DBP's plugin violate Box2d's licence? zlib licence states " The origin of this software must not be misrepresented" - calling the plugin the exact same name as the actual engine does exactly that in my opinion (as it implies it is the Box2d, not just a wrapper). Also leads to confusion, as per this thread

Yeah, I'm trying to compile it for VS2008 on windows using cmake. I'm trying to use it in tandem with DGDK (or possibly my own 2D engine) however, I seem to be getting nowhere.
