Hey guys, just having a bit of computer trouble, wondering if anyone knows a quick fix? My computer had a massive crash a while back, and we had to restore vista and everything. I backed up all my files, but now a ton of them are marked as 'hidden'. This isn't so bad as I can still use them, but some programs can't see them, and also the way they're all greyed out kinda annoys me (OCD Wannabe ). Does anyone know how to mass-unhide all my files?
Thanks guys

Go into the root folder of the hard drive with the hidden files, and select them all. Then just right-click, and uncheck "Hidden". when you press ok it should apply that to all of the files.

It made sense to me. But you wouldn't wanna do that as you'd also be unhiding all systems files normally hidden in windows. Better just to select what you need unhidden and do the properties thing. It should affecting all child folders as well (separate option i believe).

Well, I was assuming he was on an external hard drive when backing up his files, so I overlooked that.

The Nerd's method worked, thanks guys! (I just selected the backup folder, hid everything, then unhid everything).
