Now I've heard of Amiga being released several times before then never saw anything, so I'm not exactly holding my breath. But their website does show pictures of the new models (well, a case anyway).

The only market I see for this is nostalgia. You can already buy "computer in a keyboard" format systems from places like www.cybernetman.com that have a better keyboard and probably more/easier to find update and replacement parts.

They say priced between $250-900, so it's at least a reasonable place to start.

That's pretty fun news I am a little young to claim I grew up with them as it was already 6 years old when I was born and I was 6 when we got a Commodore 64 (a 12 year old machine at that point), but I do remember my brother programming the Commodore and we used to play games on it all the time. Great old machine

This actually makes me want to tear apart a laptop and integrate it into a keyboard as a portable media station, perhaps with retractable power and video cables.

They're trading on the good will of C64 legacy that's for sure, but then again who doesn't ? That's what branding is ! -

Such systems are all about convenience, rather than performance. Something simple that slots into the home frame work/kids bedroom without the fuss and foot print of a modern whizz bang PC.
