Hey, I have a question that I've been wondering about for a long time. When I finish my PC game, does anyone on here know how to make a copy of a game and put it on a system like the Gamecube or anything?

This really depends on what game engine/coding software you used. I'm not a programmer, but I know that none of TGC software supports consoles (apart from apps). I know that it require some sort of extensive reverse engineering or something of the sorts (wait for a coder to come along, they know the terms), and as of now, your game can only run on PC.

You can, however burn it to a disk and share it with other PC users:

Thankyou for your replies. Now, this next question may sound a little bit of a stretch, but: Are you ever able to pitch a game to a video game company, and if they like it, they'll put it on a different system?

You mean using DBPro to make a prototype to show potential developers your game? - There's no reason why that wouldn't work, DBPro is very quick for testing ideas out and developing them. At least with a prototype you have more protection as well - because if the game was just an idea, then that could easily be stolen, but because you'd have a prototype, they'd be less likely to rip you off, because you have the game idea in a tangible form.

If this is the case, then really you should get stuck in and start learning DBPro. A good few professional game designers and artists use DBPro to prototype ideas, as game engines become more complex, I can see high level languages being used to prototype ideas more and more.

Vental, take a look at the homebrew wikipedia article regarding Gamecube (pretty much closest you could get to home-developing it):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homebrew_(video_games)#Nintendo_GameCube

Homebrew is generally a shady way to make games for the consoles, so bringing it to a developer that has the actual GCN API, like what you and Van were saying, sounds a lot better.

This sig can be yours, too!

Okay, much obliged again. Now here comes another question: If I pitch it to a company, and they go with it, is it rightfully theirs? Because I was thinking of making my own game company. So I was thinking of putting that company name on it and if it was Nintendo that went with it, would they just put the Nintendo Seal on it? (Of course this question I wouldn't blame if anyone didn't know.)

I doubt it. If you're pitching a game to a company, they usually buy the rights from you to make it. That means you get whatever you want that they'll agree to. I doubt they would agree to you putting your own company name on it if they made it.

If you want to make your own game with your own company, you need to look for funding. You contact nintendo to buy a license to develop games.
