Just came across the new trailer a few minutes ago, and found it to be very funny, due to the character choices. Treyarch seems to be turning to Hollywood for this one. Not sure how many non-US forumers will be familiar with the names but, the four new playable characters (and voices) are:

Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)

Robert Englund (Freddy Kreguer)

Michael Rooker (The Walking Dead, AMC)

Danny Trejo (???)


George Ramero's also making an appearance...as a zombie.

I knew you were gonna jump on this one

Yeah, I saw it and it looks awesome. I want to get this just to play against Romero.

I may not be a huge Call of Duty fan, but they have good commercials.

Yeah, Danny Trejo is awesome, he will just pop up in a lot of movies as a 15 minute co-star as some tough guy and I'll be like, wait was that.. yeah it was.

Oh yeah, he was in Predators, wasn't he? I knew I saw him here and there on a few commercials but I put the ??? after his name because I wasn't sure how he had anything to do with zombies. But then again, neither does Freddy Kreuger.

Fixed. Considering,the first Zombies game in COD World at War came out about a week before Left 4 Dead. In any case, Zombies from Call of Duty isn't really similar to Left 4 Dead at all; aside from the 4 players, and it's always been that way :S

I was referring specifically to the new map and its associated style. Zombies itself doesn't have enough panache to be compared to the likes of L4D anyway.

I am COD zombies hardcore 'till the end...

Naturally, i am STOKED for this!

Although i'm a bit of a no-life, i play too much solo zombies.

Can't wait to challenge this one.

The old zombies maps were way better. The character modelling looks terrible, and movie star tie-ins? Eugghhhh.

It's like they're running out of ways to motivate players to buy DLC or something.

Heh, me too. Though, I did play through the campaign on single player when the network went down and I have to admit, it wasn't bad. I'll say I've played worse, anyway.

Yeah, sucks for Playstation users if the servers don't come back online. People are saying Sony's going to have the servers back up this Tuesday, but I don't really rely to gossip like that. I'll wait until I see a date on the official Playstation website before getting my hopes up. On the bright side, I've gotten a lot more work done around the house and on the computer than I did when the network was up and running over this last week or so. Maybe it should stay down for a bit longer

So nobody's brought up the new weapon yet? It was shown briefly in the gameplay from the commercial, and it's supposed to turn zombies into humans.



I thought it was very interesting. I was especially interested in the story elements that this gun could add to the whole zombies thing. Purifying the zombies sounds pretty important for the world they are currently living in.

In that first video Robert Englund says "This is must be a nightmare." which was probably in there because he's Freddy Krueger.
