Hi, Sorry if this is the wrong place to be asking this question.

I am new to game design and only have previous knowledge with HTML and CSS (int-adv). I have would like to create a game similar to "worms", but don't want to compromise on the quality or the looks of the game. I intend for it to be a browser based game. I have started looking into Java as a way of programming it, but obviously there is a lot to learn this way, would Javascript be a quicker start or would I have a lot less options and if so are these options that I would really miss as a newbie?

Also what tools should I be looking at downloading to get started?

Many thanks
Hodgey

Hi, welcome to the forums and yes this is the wrong board for this question but at least 10% of users on these forums are human so you are forgiven . In future please try to post on the right board, most of the names are self explanitory but if you can't find the right place then it's a good bet that you can post on the "Geek Culture" board. Oh and please try to give your threads more helpful names, possibly related to the topic/problem at hand.

Now, down to business, you wish to make a worm-based browser game. I don't know a lot, if anything, in this area of development but I'm sure ther is more than one way to do it and you just need to find which way suits you best.

You may get a better response to this if you posted this question in Programming Talk or Geek Culture. As these forums are quite strict, just explain that you posted here by accident and re-ask your question in one, only one of those boards.

Good luck with your game
