I am getting this error upon trying to open movie maker. It reads "The directory name is invalid". Does anyone know how to fix this? I came up with nothing on google.

perhaps try microsoft technet or support.microsoft.com? might help if you used that code there...

I did. And it came up with nothing. I also tried reinstalling. But thank you.

what OS? What version of the OS (sp1, sp2, sp3?) Is it completely up to date?

Now might be a time to upgrade to sp1 of windows 7. Thank you, lets see if that works.

Movie maker is actually pretty decent, from what I've heard. I've never actually made any videos in general myself though.

But I fixed it now by hitting repair instead of uninstall Why didn't I do that before?
