I've been playing Rift since its retail release, not the beta. I have been having a great time, apart from a couple of teething problems during their recent world event.

Anyway there's been no trial that I know of, and now they are giving out 7 day trials. If you like MMOs, you'll probably like it.

You can download the trial from the main website and try it out for yourself.

I also have trial keys which would tie your account to mine but referral links are not allowed here. If you would like to play with me and be tied to my account (can teleport to each, automatically added to friends lists on all characters & some other stuff), then email me and I'll send you one of my trial keys.

I'm on the EU server Tahkaat.

If you already play, then why not talk about it here.

It was supposed to be a monkey / kangaroo fire-breathing hybrid. And it would be 70 km tall, and keep a giant laser in it's pouch.

I`ve seen it in the store today. Uses gamebryo engine and looks downright awesome for an MMORPG.

I never liked MMORPGs.... but I`m giving this Rift Game a try for sure

This game did look good. It's a shame I can't afford the $180 a year for subscriptions

Cheesehead for life.

I had played WoW, RoM, Aion, Champions Online, Lotro etc. and never played for more than a month at best... Whereas I have become quite addicted to Rift. I know they all boil down to the same things essentially, but this one has kept my attention.

The second area for the Guardian faction had an incredible storyline running through the zone about vampires and werewolves and culminated in an epic rift battle. It was great and one of those gaming moments you remember long after you finish playing the game.

Meh. I played Beta of it for a while. Nothing special. A lot better than Aion no doubt. You get your whole MMO experience playing WoW from 1 to 85 then everything just isn't as fun really.

I found it infinitely better than WoW, while at the same time being very similar.

Played for a few hours today, got to level 8 I think. So far it has been great, and I'm sure it gets better the farther in the game I get. However, for me to play a MMORPG there has to be a lot of user communication which I have not yet seen. It would probably be better if I joined a guild or something, but I'm disappointed that people didn't respond to me when I asked a question or said anything in general. Not saying it's a problem only in Rift, but that's why I'm probably going to stick with WoW when I pick up a MMORPG again, because WoW already has a large user base (even in the start areas). It has been fun though, might check out some of the cities tomorrow if that's even possible.

although, there is basicly no different, except for art style, crafting and the "rift system"

and the rift system is essentially the same as WH onlines open quest system.

PvP in rift is crap though =/
the game was fun for a while though^^ but iam waiting eagerly for star wars: the old republic^^
