Ok, so I've been thinking about this game I used to play as a kid on (I think) the Sega Genesis. It was a scrolling game, like Sonic, but instead of a hedgehog you were a bottle cap or something...and he wore glasses. If anyone knows the game I'm talking about, please tell me the name!

Cool Spot?


I remember it, was a pretty decent platformer - not as good as Sonic, or Robocod2, but a pretty good game. I always liked Kid Chameleon - I have that on this tiny little Genesis handheld (Blaze), came with Sonic, Kid C, Altered Beast, and about 15 other Genesis games. I would recommend those little things, they're pretty cheap considering it's a full colour Genesis handheld for £30 or so, later models even come with SD card slots - I'm sure the Blaze handheld doesn't have Cool Spot.

Yeah, I'm not sure why I liked a lot of my old favorites... But Cool Spot did have great, fluid animation, and was a fairly fast paced game for a platformer - plus lots familiar settings and objects and a very polished game all round. I can see why it's a worthy favorite - but you might well be a little dissapointed if you play it again - I often am.
