Would it be possible for a moderator to change my name to "YetAnotherCoder" for me?
If so, greatly appreciated.

I can't believe you would want to give up such an excellent name as PlanetaryFunk!

Go with "YetAnotherCoder2".

There's a lot of irony in there!

Can I ask for "InterPlanetaryFunk" then?
I can change my blog address easily enough I found out, but PlanetaryFunk is still taken

Well, you're not going to believe this ...

Nah, it's not taken, but there's a limit on username size - I don't know what the limit is, but it won't let me assign a name that long without spaces in it

Well duh!

The point was, a) are you Ok with that, and b) if so, is 'Interplanetary Funk' Ok?

Could you change my name to IanM?
I realise this is your name already but if you switch your name to Le Shorte, then give me IanM, then norion can be OBese87, then change planetaryfunk to norion and le shorte to planetaryfunk, then OBese87 to le shorte, Le Shorte to Norion, then OBese87 to Le Shorte, then planetaryfunk to OBese87, then norion to YetAnotherCoder, then Le Shorte to planetaryfunk, OBese87 to Le Shorte, Norion to OBese87 and le shorte to Norion.

Your memory has been erased by a mod - Your new name is Brian.

@OBese87,
If I had known that you could come up with that kind of nonsense in such a short timescale, I would have voted for you and Jerico2Day for president as you are obviously a professional politician and well suited for the position!

Same here.

But uh, while everyone's changing their names, I'd like mine to be DeadTomGC so that it matches my code base name and my name on other sites like Blender.

I hate my name with a huge passion, I was going to email a mod one day but this thread seems to be doing the trick.

Is there any chance 'Matty H' is not taken? If not, could I have it?
I suppose 'Matty-H' would not be too bad also, if the other is taken

Probably because the resulting epidemic of total confusion about who's who would be too much for everyone.

If only it was this easy to change your real name. I would now be called "Ultimate Death Ninja of Lethal Killer Machete Prowess". Apparently that's not allowed by d-poll.

Honestly, my account name is either Cormorant Cormorant5 or CormorantFive anywhere I go, but I am SO CLOSE to wanting my name changed to Batman.

It's probably taken, but maybe it's worth a shot.

@ IanM

Could you change my name to Crazy Acorn. I attempted a name change about 8 months ago but it got rejected because I got slapped for a few days. I didn't do anything bad all I did was post the fail whale and I was told it was not allowed by Nickydude I think but my profile auto posted and he slapped me for a few days. Now that I know can I change my name? Gorlock suggestions just doesn't make sense.

I think there's a glitch with the profile page that let's you do it. If you switch Location to Now Playing and change your name it should work. This was a few years ago though so maybe it's been fixed.

People used to have the ability to change their name, but it got abused and so it was taken away.

And I'm personally thankful for having had that ability... DBPro Newbie was simply not appropriate as I quickly lost interest in DB, but had already fallen in love with the forums by that point in time...

Yeah, it totally sucked as you didn't know who the hell anyone was after a while. One or two is easy enough but after 20 people had changed 10 times each then was confusing. Plus people then realised the games they could play and it was just a total pain.

Cheers

Y'know, I've been thinking lately that I really miss my old name of "Yodaman Jer"...I changed it to CoffeeCoder a while back because I started to get tired of using "Yodaman Jer" everywhere, but now that I've eliminated the name from nearly everywhere else, I'd like it set back to Yodaman Jer on here if it's possible, please. It's a name that I've been using ever since I joined the internet and it's very nostalgic. Plus, I miss my old avatars and signature images for it.

...
please? I would change ppls names if they asked... and even go above the call of duty and change those names of ppl who dont ask but want to. Just cause thats the kind of work ethic i have.

EDIT: They wouldnt even have to tell me what they want their names to be cause im just that good.

Hehe, thanks. I haven't really coded much of anything besides several iterations of a level editor. One of these days I'll get back to making a small game...and I'll also make a level editor for that small game. For some reason I find programming level editors fascinating.

Should I ask to change my name to Red Ocktober? Or would that be a step too far?
