Procedurally generated maps, so if you die don't expect to hit the same spot again as it's always changing.

This is also available for iPhone. It's quite frankly awesome.

Whoa, you mean you didn't know Canabalt? Canabalt was made by the awesome Adam Saltsman & its been an indie hit for the last year or 3. It has seen a rather succesful iOS release besides the Flash game & by all means, was a really succesful game from a financial point of view - which is great, Adam is a great guy.

On the WINNITRON systems, of which Vlambeer has one near our office, there is an exclusive two-player version of the game (amongst other indie hits such as NIDHOGG & Super Crate Box VS). It's really awesome to have such an arcade cabinet nearby .

If you like one-button games, check out the results of the GAMMA IV competition a while ago. Some really impressive things there, too.

Better late than never though - if you like the indie scene, I've got a topic called 'Game of the Week' somewhere in Geek Culture & I try to discuss or name an indie title that has had made an impression on me.

It burns my eyes horribly trying to play it. It was kinda fun though. I could only last about five minutes playing it because my eyes were hurting so bad though.

It's OK (played it before) but I don't really see it as anything other than a time-waster.

In my opinion it's not really a 'game' - because half the time you're killed by issues that occur out of view or too suddenly (most of the time there is simply no evasive action for something. It's not as if the game gives you a set time to notice the obstacles and plan jumps - sometimes there is zero corrective action, something appears and you die)

Also I prefer the 64k version that was made of this, since it removes the annoying bomb thing (which is another obstacle which only seems to be evadable if it appears a certain amount of time before you get to it. Sometimes it will land directly in front of you, leaving no time to get enough of an arc on the jump)

Yeah. To be more constructive, cool art style and the best version of a well used formula that I've seen, but not a formula that I like at all.

That's what I thought at first, but I found in the end that there's nothing that cannot be predicted. You do need to play with audio, though - the bomb is announced with a 'thump', for example.
