After seeing
this I was pretty impressed. I was intrigue by the possibilities it presented. It might sound stupid, but I decided to put a small voltage accross my tongue - I have seen guys put 9v batteries on their tongues before with no damage so I thought it should be alright
I started off with about 0.5v just to check nothing crazy was going to happen, when I thought I was feeling something but I wasn't sure so I went to 4v. I could definately feel a stronger metallic taste when the voltage was on. To prove this I connected an LED and a wire out of a chip which would turn the light on and raise the voltage "randomly" and simultaneously. I could definately notice a difference and therefore I could tell when the LED was lit up or not without looking. I then moved on to 2 wires and could tell when each was on or off...
Just been thinking of all the possibilities. Perhaps largely replacing screens. It would allow the input to the brain to be much higher so long as your not eating you could have both a screen and a tongue-tingler feeding you information...
Anyone else got any ideas?
If pots and pans were "if"s and "and"s there would be no work for programmer's hands...
