I'm curious as to how many first languages we have on the board? What are people's native languages, or expert level languages besides English? I ask out of curiosity, and also because I'm interested in getting some simple things translated, which I may be willing to pay for (depending on how cheap online translation services are).

Greek used to be my first language, then I forgot most of it when I moved to Scotland and now I kinda know some of it. Shame.

My native language is German.
But I'm quite good at English, and I know a bit of French (enough to communicate on vacations ).
I'd be glad to help with translations!

Thanks for your replies guys. I may contact some of you, if that's ok, and see if you're interested in translations once I've written my doc!

Main English, taking classes on German, in my free time learning Klingon and Gungan. Someday I will move out and be able to go to Star Wars Conventions. I will be a star...

Luxemburgian and German are my main languages.
I know english pretty well now, thanks to the internet (mostly these forums)
Then comes french which comes with living in Luxemburg. My grammar might not be that great in french though.

Hey cool, I used to live like 20 km from the border to Letzebourg!

I'm surprised about how many people here speak German as secondary language, didn't expect it to be that much (thought it was kind of hard to learn).

Every Dutch person that lurks on programming forums most likely knows English & reasonable amounts of French and/or German - simply because those are subjects in high school.

I'm pretty much surprised there are so many people from the Benelux around here, though.
