I like the wild flower! The tiles kind of ruin it, but to each his own

Only those who sow the seeds of their desires will reap their benefits later.
However, I have seeds of my own to tend to. I don't have time to be someone else's watering can.

Thanks! I just ran it through the filter to see what would happen. I thought I'd post the results regardless of how it turned out.

I'm gonna make another one later, so stay tuned!

There are some nice backgrounds here! Just shows you that you don't need photoshop to do these things!
I had a go also. I've not done any graphic work in a while, it made a nice change!

Full Version

Its actually a little to bright for my liking, but some people may like a bright desktop.

[EDIT] I made this with the image.... I don't know why:

@BiggAdd That is awesome, ill probably set my own desktop background to it.

Neither do i! But it's cool none the less.

@ThoughtWire Software That isnt exactly abstract, but it is still cool! For some reason gray-scale pictures of trees in grass really depress me...

Edit--

@BiggAdd This background is workin' out man, it's groovy! Lol

Thus the letters 'lol'

It may not have been abstract but it has been sitting here on my hard drive for a while. I may have a swing at something that actually is abstract and post it later.

I'm not sure if it's abstract enough but here's something I've done. Essentially its a planet under attach from some kind of energy beam.

If you installed the DirectX SDK, you should be able to right click an an image and select Convert to file format..., and use that to convert to .dds format.

Edit: Here is one http://registry.gimp.org/node/70
