On forums I visit it has been called "worst E3 ever". While I'm not sure about it, all 3 consolemakers' conferences were huge letdowns...

Make games, not war.

@Jimpo: True. (But I still play my Wii daily )

I mean you have to think what work is behind all this. I mean you can't just stick a screen into a gamepad. You have to take care of the streaming, the processing power has to be quite high, all that stuff...
I think it's gonna be great. I wish I had a dev-kit for this thing, thousands of ideas popping up in my head right now.
And I'm so excited about playing Battlefield 3 on this thing!!!

I only watched the Nintendo one, I thought the Wii U side was good, but they should have announced more, instead of just restating things out that had been announced previously.

Same here. The number one thing running through my head is how much I want to develop games for this console! The controller just has everything. Not just a touch screen, but also a camera, microphone, gyroscope, accelerometer, and all the standard buttons.

I'm getting a 3DS soon so all the new 3DS titles are making me crap my pants. And Batman Arkham City is supposed to be slow, it is a stealth game.

Sweet, that new Mario Kart with the hanglider makes me so happy, and I'm getting Kid Icarus too. Street Fighter, Splinter Cell, Legend of Zelda, and Nintendogs and Cats will be my first buys, then all the stuff this fall like Luigi's Mansion and Star Fox, plus I'm getting Arkham City collectors edition, I need some loans.

Don't get it. It's just a worse version of the original (or chaos theory or whatever port it was).

Quote: "Legend of Zelda"

If you want that one, you'll have to pre-order it soon, they are only making limited quantities.

Also, I'm really really excited about the new Smash Bros. game for 3DS.

Yeah, and Mario Kart is one of the big ones too. With the customization, and I don't even want to think about what characters they'll put in. And holy crap, I had no idea. I have no money now because I barely have enough to get a 3DS ;_;

You could pre-order the game before you get the system if you wanted. Then you'd at least have a copy when you get the system. Just a thought.

But I need to spend no money... because... and I'm ashamed of this, all I have is 160, and my parents will pay the other 100 if I can spend none of my money before the last day of school so I can take it on our road trip. ;_:

Why do that? If you wait until you get the system the game might be cheaper. Unless of course it's a hard to get game.

There's only going to be a limited number of them produced (I heard 150,000 but I don't know if that's accurate).

In that case I would definitely preorder. I know I was bummed when I found out they stopped making Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow.

Oh my god, I just can't stop to imagine all the cool new things the Wii U controller makes possible...
Like video chat during multiplayer games, command troops in a top down view in a FPS game, a minimap in an open world game (that you can control like google maps), write down notes with a pen, a local multiplayer action game with the TV as sort of a spectator view while all 4 players use their controllers screen (no more cheating in split-screen games)...

The controller looks freaking awesome! But I can only imagine how long it's going to take me to get used to it, just like it was with the Wii Remote.

Some of the potential uses for the Wii U controller they have shown certainly look interesting. Though from the images alone the controller looks a little uncomfortable to hold for extended periods of time. Mind you the same could be said for the N64 controller and I didn't have a problem with that.

Hopefully you will be able to transfer all the virtual console games you own on the Wii across to the Wii U. The virtual console is about all I have been using my Wii for.

And I can already tell Halo Anniversary is gunna kill my childhood. I still have CE installed.

Also an extension onto Halo 3? That's just silly, there's nothing left to fight.

Well, he was about to go through some sort of portal, if I saw that correctly...
I dunno, watched it once, thought "Halo's so overrated" and didn't watch it again.

GUYS

don't worry about halo 4. I couldn't find any credible sources, but it sounds like anyone can make a halo game now, or the license traded hands. bungie and ensemble studios aren't involved in the making. (plz let me know if anyone manages to confirm this >.>

Games that will lighten my wallet: Skyrim, SWOR, and saints row 3

That's the problem, it's Bungie's game. And when Bungie was free to develop it, it was awesome.
