Ok, I'm in a real pickle here and need some help by someone who has connections/mod power.

For years now, the email address linked to my account has been unavailable. I therefore can't change my password or anything. I've opened a support ticket more than once, but either they didn't believe me, or I was not able to see their response message because it was sent to the address that no longer exists. I really need to change my account email address.

Is there any mod or person of authority who can help me? Thanks.

Go into your account, and then User Profile. Partway down there is a section that states:

Change Your Email Address

Should you need to change the email address that you registered your account with then you can do so using the form below. This will send an activation email to your current email address. Inside it will be a URL, click on this to complete the process.

Also, "Change your email address" is pointless, because it doesn't change the address you use to login with (which I presume means 'forgotten password' requests don't go to the newly changed email address either)

I changed my forum email ages ago, but my login email is still the original (and cannot seemingly be changed). Kind of a backward system really

I can tell you it does, it did for me at least. But I did it fairly recently.

Even if I change it now and update my profile I can still only login with the old email

Although presumably it must be a flaw for only old accounts based on what you say

Email one of the TGC staff, the mods unfortunately don't have the power to change something like that!

Your best bet will probably be with Paul, as I think he handles a lot of the Web stuff:

Well, I was thinking that if we had his password we could make a post promising the soon release of DBP DX10. Then they'd have to finish it.

Speaking of which....where is it? I mean, DX11 is already out!

He uses a certificate to login to any TGC properties because all you newbs keep entering his email and the password "fartface" which happens to be his preferred password.
