Hey guys!

I just watched this,

...and I might be mistaken, but these weapons you'll see towards the end look a lot like Errant AI's work.

Any one else sees this similarity? Especially the Glock and the Automatic Rifle.

That project was imminent for release two years ago. It's something I've put on my mental backburner, very similar to HL3. Maybe they're sharing release dates?

Also it does look like Errant's work. Whether it is, is another question. No offense to Errant but his guns are designed to look like real life guns, so naturally other people making models of similar real life guns would look similar.

If he is in fact working on it...then I'm begging to know roughly how far they've got into it.

Hm... looked a bit like his, yeah. But I don't think it is.

Cheesehead for life.

Similar, but not identical. They are the same gun, just made by different people.

Yeah! Just the way he is holding it, the size in screen (these do vary in videogames) and the animations are somehow EAI'esque.

Just BTW: Errant AI isn't listed in either current and past contributors. I'd be really surprised if he had anything to do with the project...

Nope. Not me. I'd never animate a reload with the booger picker on the boom switch

Thats a pretty natural angle and screen framing for holding a pistol in a reload to show off the model. Sort of like you usually see an analog clock with the hands at 10 and 2.

took me a while to realise what was going here then.

i do have to admit that i had to look for like 5mins to start picking up major differences between them both.

By taking a closer look, I noticed that the finger is inside the trigger. I guess they .. fix that

Well... guess I was wrong then

May sound weird, but seeing Errant's guns makes me miss FPSC...weird.

Nope. I just discovered UDK, and it was...superior. Just in every way.

However I miss the sheer simplicity of FPSC. UDK was all science and art, FPSC you place a few lights and create a cool mood, and it feels fairly fun. UDK you spend several hours tweaking model physics, setting up materials, etc, etc.

I use UDK aswell... and I can't agree to all your points..

but lets not debate this here, we are getting offtopic

I love the way they say on their site:
Quote: "We have always gone for a "when it's done" approach."

They really haven't always gone for a when it's done approach - because they gave themselves a release date...

So they're lying

Yeh, their last official update was like a year ago, although they add to the gallery fairly often.

I do know that EAI actually did work on an X-Files game, but only he can tell us that.
