Hey all,

I've been out of the modeling business for a while but I wanted to give it a try again. I've become much more handy with creating textures etc. Only part I still need to master is uvmapping. Once I've learned that I want to move on to Autodesk Maya for modeling (as I'm currently modeling with MS3D, which is really basic but therefor very easy to use)

Anyway, I wanted to give it another shot at modeling houses. I tried to make it medium detail, not too many poly's. This is my first model which contains a texture fully made myself. I think it's not bad for a first time. Still need to master the dodge and burning part a bit more though.

Here are some screens.

BTW, is there any easy to use 3d render engine? MS3D doesn't do any lighting at all so my model looks kind of cheap, would look much better with advanced rendering.
Let me know what you think!

thanks mgarand! I really love the program, it's easy to use and still pretty detailed. I made some new screenshots, hope you like them.

Ouch!

It's beautyful! I can imagine how that low-poly (i suppose) house model would look on PSP home-made game, or Android system !

Could you please tell me what program are you using to make these textures, and are there any tutorials which you created it from?

Cheers!

P.S.

That Arabic House sorta reminds me of assassin's creed

@mgarand: Thanks.

@Henry: Thanks mate! You helped me out a lot

@Kamac: I create the textures with Photoshop CS5. Henry taught me a lot. First I make a base texture, which has the structure of the material you want. And then just download a picture of a pattern or material you want and blend it with your base texture. Play with the blending mode and opacity. After that you can add detail with more pictures (scratches and damage etc) or with the dodge/burn tool. Hope that helped you out!
