This was a story of frustration. I started this one 3 months ago, and it has been sitting in limbo on my HD, as I search high and low for a decent vocalist. I was days away from releasing it without vocals (which would've been a travesty), but I finally found a talented lass from Leeds who did some quality vocs for me.

It's a melodic/atmospheric drum'n'bass track. Hope a few of you guys like it.

Interesting music, even though I dislike drum'n'base, the melodic nature of it makes it ok to listen to Still, it isn't quite something I'd put on my MP3 player yet, but good job anyway!

Thanks bud. If you're not a fan of drum'n'bass, then that is still praise indeed. Maybe I can thieve your MP3 player and put it on when you're not looking!

I liked it, but it felt like something was missing. I was expecting more of a final climax before the outro.

I agree with Phaelax, I've V-Moda headphones with superb bass and I couldn't pick out much bass :/ loved it though.

Just a few suggestions:
-Try making the sub a little lower to add a more DnB feel to it, the bass is what gives you the oomph .
-The drums need to more out there, more space-y with some reverb and channel delay if you're trying atmospheric DnB.

Better than what I can do though .

-Parunagall/SSG

Sorry all for my furious departure a while ago (well, almost 8 months xD) after deep thought I have decided to return.

I apologise to those I offended.

Needs more bass volume, and drums should be more in the back. Nice ambience however.

Once the drums come in it really reminds me of Tall Cans in the Air by Transplants. Probably because of the drums.

If pots and pans were "if"s and "and"s there would be no work for programmer's hands...

I like it - I like DnB but only really when I'm about to do something, go out, or whatever, it's not the sort of music I can relax to. The only crit I have is that I felt the drums could do with a little more meat, maybe that's the bass as people are saying. I like DnB drums to have a bit of grunge in there if you know what I mean, maybe swap a couple of samples for some dirty ones, see if that lifts it up a bit.

Not bad, Fallout. It's not my prefered type of music (as you may know), but its listenable. You could add a bit of distortion and more bass to the bassline and play with different drum kits, even adjust the overall sound with an equalizer. But, above all, make it more metal, dude!

P.S.: I'm still waiting for your version of Slayer's 'Raining Blood', ya know?

P.S. 2: The girl/woman who's doing the vocals has a nice voice. Tell her that, will you?

My guitar electrics are still knackered. I've tried fixing them twice, with no luck, so it's been a good month or more without my axe! I might try and blag a whole new guitar for my birthday in august, but until then, I won't be reigning in blood dude!

Oh, and btw, she knows she goooood.

Thanks bud. I think I started messing with music about the same time I started coding .... almost 20 years ago ... So they're both passions I've explored in parallel for years.

As for software, I actually use a tracker, plus a lot of sampling and cool edit pro. The formula still works for me, so I don't change it!
