Ok, so I played this game on my XBox a few years back called Phantasy Star Universe. Eventually, I sold all my XBox stuff to convert to PC gaming. So I was browsing GameStop's games, and it caught my eye. It says I need to be connected to the internet to play some of the chapters, so I thought nothing of it. I remember playing on my XBox without a connection. I bought it, couldn't wait to install it. Haven't installed it yet, but I may have made a mistake. The way I'm reading it, only some of the game is accessible offline?

It looks like you can play Episode 1 offline and Episode 2 offline. Then for Episodes 3 and 4, you have to buy Ambition of the Luminous (which I did). I was looking around for how much it would cost to play. I found $10 per month. Not too bad, fairly reasonable in my opinion, I'll just cancel my RuneScape membership for a month or two and grind the game.

I read further, and apparently the PC servers have been taken offline. Does this mean I now have an incomplete game that I can never complete? Or were the servers just for playing online with other people? If it was to play with other people, I can care less.

I figure I'd ask here in case anyone knows, I'll ask Sega soon too, but I figured I'd get a faster response from people here who may have had experience with it.

My name is Brian.

I sent them an email about the same time I made the thread. Their site is apparently down for maintenance. I hope they actually answer -_-

But if anyone knows, I'd like to know as soon as possible, so if you know, please don't hesitate to say here.

You could try looking for underground servers.

There is an offline story mode where you play as a pre-set main character. But there are also online only story missions that feature your created character. The offline story is a complete game in itself, where the story is wrapped up. The online story missions just feel tacked on and poorly try to extend the already finished storyline.

So yes, you can't play some of the story missions, but you aren't missing much.
