So, anyone else excited about the MW3 release? I am! Although, I hope the trouble at Infinity Ward won't hurt it too much. I think it's going to be awesome, since it's a lone duo situation with Soap and Price! Although, I have a small checklist of things I am hoping for:

A few great sniper maps.
A few new sniper rifles for said maps.
Some new mechanics for cover systems(Doubt it though).
Maybe be able to play as the Russians as well(Seriously doubt that)?

Anyone else got anything they would like to see in MW3?

If the universe isn't a program, then why do planets orbit in loops, death sparks life, and human interaction is buggy and glitched?

I don't know, just when I'm playin' football with me and my bros, were always like "This game needs more guns BRO," "YEAH BRO". And then we shoot some people in the game...and were like "DID YA SEE THAT BRO?!"

On-Topic:

I want this game to be different then all-the-other modern warfare games in the infinity ward series. There all bad clones of each other with terrible graphics and horrible story. I want a new fun game that doesn't consist of clans running around in circles shooting each other the same way over and over again online, and a single player story that is boring.

Side-note:

The battlefield series is (and always has been) so much better then CoD, so ill probably be getting the third one. (Destruction 3.0!)

I like Cod and BF, theyre different games with different focuses: BF is more focused on veichles and focus on the general war idea with big maps, whilst CoD is more infantry/small map more close quarter squad based, ofc Cod is more stylised story like aswell.

I personally dont compare them since the gameplay in both games are so vastly different and the only thing in common they have is guns and an FPS angle.

Might aswell compare CoD with duke nukem?

anyway, I am waiting until i know more, as of now i have CoD mw2 and happy with it, because if CoD mw3 is CoD mw2 with more guns then no from me, also iam more interested in the MP than SP...

I miss the times when COD wasn't ridiculously over dramatised with no pacing (explosions around every corner). Cod 4 will allways be my favourite, no matter what those over rich apes at Infinity Award do.

I'm more interested in BF3.

If you watched the videos pre-release of black ops (Which I didn't buy) they mentioned adding technology to the engine to be able to cope with the helicopter level. It's a big company and they're not using the same engine, they're evolving it

You cant polish a turd, is what Quiks trying to say.

Also a typical example of engine evolution is Source.

The main difference is COD and BF games are player interaction. Cod has stupified it enough for one man to run around by himself and win. "lone wolves" as they seem to call it, * which quite frankly is a loathsome name. "loners" would be better but ill stay on que. BF games promote actual soldier roleplay as it were. There are classes to attack, defend and support your teams effort. Your more likely to act together or at least be aware of the guys around you. While in Cod theres no need since it pretty much plays out as;

Spawn
Spray clip
Die
~Repeat forever

Which is amusing for a few hours till you realise, wait i just had the strangest dejavu and no it wasnt from the prepubestic children screaming the same insults down the mic' for the fifth time in a row or that strange malarky where randomly spinning in a circle really quickly and shooting has a element of "skill" involed. Its the fact that ive just remembered i was on this map about 40mins ago and i blew someones brains out in the same killing area, as he was spinning retardedly while spewing insults like a self fulfilled hate machine. Other than my virgin ears being scorned, it dawned on me i had seen all this game had to offer so i found myself screaming back at them like a possesed grammer nazi, at which point i realised oh dear god im becoming one of them and quickly preceeded to eject the disc and kill it with fire.

For example, in CoD, every works for their own gain, and there's no interaction outside of clans.

In TF2, you must work together. Solders can use tools to give damage and health buffs, scouts can stun enemies for other team members to pick off, medics heal other team members, and engineers build teleporters and dispensers to help their teammates get outfitted and move up quicker.

CoD is totally geared towards working for yourself.

Why is everyone talking about CoD solely based on it's MP? In my opinion MP is a bit added on to a game after SP. SP should always be the main element of a game. I thought the story arc in CoD4 and 6 was brilliant and i'll be buying this one to finish that.

I don't care about the MP, sure it adds extra value to the game but if it's exactly the same as the MP in the last game who cares? It's like getting a free map pack for the last one with the purchase of the actual SP game. No-one would complain about that.

The replay value of COD's campaign is far less than that of portal.

For three years I've watched my friend fantasize about the next COD game, but then, when they get the game, they say that it was so-so and immediately start fantasizing about the next game.

I eventually bought a few and found out for my self that they all play the same and are quite boring.

Portal challenges you to think, CoD doesn't.

The whole idea of CoD is that you shunt your aiming and movement into your subconcious in order to react faster, then it becomes instinct.

Portal requires you to sit back and scope it out, develop a plan, then use precision to pull it off.

Apples 'n' oranges bro.

while comparing it to a game of a different genre

you see all different genres have different replay value due to the limitation that comes to the genre.

if you are going to compare the game to some other game take a game from the same genre like half life 2 (which has... very little aswell)

This is a CoD anticipation thread. I don't feel like I'm buying the same game every time, I've loved the campaigns every time, and I've loved the multiplayer every time. Because that is where the majority of the gameplay is. SP takes maybe 4-5 hours to complete, probably less. Not worth the 89 bucks!

In my opinion, Battlefield looks vastly superior.

I remember playing the first CoDs over and over again. I also must have played the Cod4 and CoD6 campaigns a few times as well.

Never really played 1, couldn't get into 2, 3 was okay. It was MW1 when I was finally like, "Holy crap! This is amazing." I've been hooked ever since!

call of duty 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (world at war) and then there is call of duty MW 2 and now 3
which does into extensions of that 4 so i wouldnt call them 6 or 7

It's so you can mix a ACOG Scope with a Red-dot sight I guess, nothing amazingly impressive.

Well if you include console and handheld games that isn't a port you'll get about 11 Call of Duty titles. That is including Finest Hour, Big Red One and WaW: Final Fronts. You also forgot Black Ops in your list.

It's not really an ACOG, it's a scope designed specifically to work with a red dot so you end up with basically a holographic scope. It's not impressive, but it is conceivably realistic

Yeah, but saying that it kinda gets outweighed in realism by the OTT action scenes.lol But the reason why I mention it is because it was one of the major "features" being told by some of the developers.lol That and the arrival of a grenade launcher and the return of Predator missiles...

The game seems overwhelmingly unimpressive; in terms of features, don't know about the story yet, but seeing as MW2 was slightly messed up and didn't have that much of a shock factor that MW1 had I can see this just being a game where people will only praise the multi-player and the single-player will be just another quick story with no real impact, basically just something to advertise on TV. I certainly do miss the old Call of Duty, sure it had cinematic moments but it certainly isn't like the Michael Bay fest you get in the new games; I'm looking at you Black Ops.

Wait are you serious? Cod is all about running by your self with a long range weapon that's rediculously overpowerd at short range...

BF3 will be sooo much better.

secondly: explain to me: HOW is it going to be the same game? comeon throw the proof at me HOW is it going to be the same game aside from "using the same engine"? and to throw some shoes onto your fanboyism: where is BF3 gonna be any different than the rest? except for the destruction: why not just make a patch or DLC that brings us a new campaign and a few MP maps with the destruction engine!

Yea I'm done with this.Oh yeah and the DLC would be a huge DLC,I don't want kids to play BF3,so I should start making them think MW3 is better so they won't annoy me with their JB voices.Just tell the MW3 fanboys to stop complaining on our videos we'll stop ours.

@trubkiller: I prefer games that focus on gameplay a little more than that. And, before you start the, "But, it's just noob toobers." Play Hardcore mode where just a couple of rounds can drop you. It's not spray-whole-clip-rinse-repeat-cycle. It's got tactics to it.
