By the way, this is based on the fact that fallout 1/2/tactics and other interplay games are half price on GOG at the moment

Heres a question,
I loved Fallout 3, and I'm considering getting Fallout 1/2 and tactics. so...
-Do you reckon I'll like going back to 2d (which doesn't usually phase me)
-How different experience is it
-Which should I prioritize getting (and is tactics as good as a proper sequel)

Thanks for the time,
Ocho

It doesn't have the difficulty levelling system F3 and NV have - I haven't played it myself, but my friend loves it. He said there's many a time you come across groups you simply do not have the ability to beat due to the lack of levelling.

However alot of people say the story is deeper and the scope for exploration is much bigger than before.

Definitely worth it from what I've heard.

1 & 2 are good, far superior to Fallout 3. You could probably skip tactics, it's not that great.

Yeah their great but they are way different than 3. 1 and 2 use turn based combat so it's a bit annoying till you get used to it.

well, It took a while for me to get into, and I've just died and lost a chunk of progress .

It's not been easy to get into, but then again my idea of a retro game is Half-Life

It's release date is in the ballpark of Half Life's.
