I noticed a few weeks ago that this thread was posted on the 23rd of June 2001, so I decided that I would wait for the ten year anniversary and post about it here.

http://koti.mbnet.fi/tamsi/Da%20Codes.htm

Surely some people still remember this? How many internal memes were created from this, and I wonder if any new people will find out how awesome newcomers were back in 2001.

And remember these great words of divine wisdom:

Quote: "A book. If u know something why cant u make a kool game or prog.
come on now. A book. I hate books. book is stupid. I know that I need codes but I dont know the codes. DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...."

TGC didn't come around until 2002, right? Which forum did that originally start on, cause I don't think it was RGT/LLRGT/LLLLRGT.

By the way....

That was on TGCs old forum. I wanna say the new forum came around 2004, but maybe it was 2002 which is my signup year on these new forums. I'm pretty sure I signed up around 2004 though on the new boards.

I would really like to see the old boards put back up for public consumption so we can see some of TGC's history

It was on the old Dark Basic forum, before they changed the company name to TGC.
It's funny how TDK is testing his (obviously newly granted) mod powers in this thread.
I've never read the whole thread before, I didn't realise it was that bad!
If this guy didn't want to learn anything or read anything, why did he waste $65? He could have bought a game with that money!

Zenicanin14's speeches were THE BEST.

Prime example of all time epicnez:

Quote: "Ya all are just mad cause I told yaa that ya are dumb.(TRUTH)

And by the way I didn't pay this sh** I stole it from web-site.
Sorry ya are dumb and dont know hot to steal the reg key and download it. Sorry if ya would go and learn vb
and C++ which is much better that stupid Darkbasic.
I learned vb for just 2 months.

By the way vb means Visual Basic not Dark Basic.
And C++ has 2 version Microsoft visual C++
and Bordland C++.
Over C++ you can also make games viruses and much more.
I bought C++ for dummies. And I was looking in the store do they have C++ for stupids.
But they said if ur stupid your too stupid to learn like people in forum.
If ya know vb or C++ e-mail me the code for message box which starts with msqbox.

People stay dumb and learn that stupid dark basic that everybody can steal reg keys.

Its for free.

Ya didn't know me yet.

I HAVE LEARNED C++ AND VB DAYS AGO AND I WANTED TO LEARN ASSEMBLY LANGUAGE. '

IF YA DIDN'T KNOW THATS THE HARDEST LANGUAGE TO LEARN IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD.

BYE ALL YA DUMB *** PEOPLE WHO WERE ARGUING WITH ME.
FOR THOSE WHO DIDN'T ARGUE STAY TIGHT....
I HAVE MADE THIS CHAT THE MOST POPULAR IN THE WHOLE WDE DARKBASIC WEB-SITE.

AM I KOOL GUY OR WHAT...

YEP

SEE YA ALL THE PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT AGAINST ME.

BIH POWER............

YA CANT VISIT THE SITE CAUSE ITS IN BOSNIAN LANGUAGE

DUHH SUCKERSSSSS!! "

@Mnemonix For years I've been lurking in these forums but now I gotta come forth and ask how did you manage to find that site. Cuz I uploaded that couple of years ago and didn't even imagine that someone could find it. Good that it's been put to use, though.

Anybody remember Geri, the guy who threatened to call his dad back from a mission with the Palestinian Liberation Army to hunt us all down and kill anyone who had insulted him?

The forum changed on the date it says I joined. They reset all our joined dates basically (I really joined about a year or two earlier or so. Either June 2000 or June 2001 ish. Not sure as I hung around for about a year before I joined).

Ah, loved that thread. Felt a bit worried at the time that I might get told off for calling him an abortion Those were the days Can't believe it's been 10 years though...

Cheers

and

Also, when I was making the game dream and still posting it here, every level had (or has) A key in it. In one you pick it up and the character says "Key? I hate key! KEY IS STUPID."

HAPPY BOOK DAY!

Edit: hmm, those are both years old now! Maybe I'll make a new one, for iHateBook!

Ah yes, I remember geri, g3ri, and the many incarnations of him. I believe he has erased from the internet though. He really was one of my favorite trolls for his entertaining thoughts. My favorite thread was one where he claimed to have found a gold ring in the field and kept it. The conversation afterwards was epic.

Oh the memories...

I love the way basically all zenicanin14 was asking was where's the command list. xD - He just didn't know how to say it in a way that didn't make him appear stupider.

Just think he is probably an adult now, doing adult stuff, with an adult job. He maybe in charge of your local nuclear power plant, or missile silo, or stuff it even if he works in your local supermarket... Hmm...

Heh, would be ace if he now worked in a book shop. I was in one yesterday and there was a right weirdo behind the counter... Perhaps silently waiting for the moment to strike and take out all the stupid books...

Cheers
