Geek Culture / Font hounds - good subtitle font?

Hello everyone,

I'm struggling to find a good subtitle font. Here are two suggestions I have so far. One looks cool but isnt too legible, the other is legible but looks ... weak.

#1 looks good. It's legible, you have the black border on white text for clarity on all backgrounds, and it doesn't detract from the scene

#1 is good, I think. All caps is generally a bad idea for pretty much anything because, contrary to popular belief, it's much harder to read.

Take a look at Futura, Tahoma, Verdana, Helvetica and Franklin Gothic.
All striking fonts in my opinion. (Also note that there are different flavours of each font, its worth going to a font site and look at all the sub styles)

But out of the two screen shots, I have to say that #1 looks the best.
